Week old,. close call.

When something like this happens, it can make you realize how insignificant our Earthly problems are. A collision with a rock like this over a populated area could kill millions and defiantly ruin your day.
This is week old news, I'm sure some of you have seen it, but it is very important none the less. There are different belts of these objects the Earth crosses paths with on regular occasions.
But this one could have just as easily changed the face of our existence.
In the right location and timing you could have watched this flyby with the naked eye

I didn't read the article but have seen these type of shows on Discovery. It's just a matter of time. May be 1000 years, 100 years, or next Tuesday. So eat, drink, and be merry

I agree. It doesn't change the way I live my life, but it will happen.

I'm surprised the US or Russia didn't try to blow it up for testing.

Would've been a great test rat.

It's funny, but within the past week or so, I've been watching some programs on discovery on this exact subject.

I agree, tumba....ain't nothing we can do about it, so just live your life as best you can
