Russian analyst: U.S. will collapse next year

MOSCOW - If you're inclined to believe Igor Panarin, and the Kremlin wouldn't mind if you did, then President Barack Obama will order martial law this year, the United States will split into six rump-states before 2011, and Russia and China will become the backbones of a new world order.

Putin, the former president who is now prime minister, has likened the United States to **** Germany's Third Reich and blames Washington for the global financial crisis that has pounded the Russian economy.

Prediction: Alaska will return to Russian control
But he said the recent economic turmoil in the United States and other "social and cultural phenomena" led him to nail down a specific timeframe for "The End" — when the United States will break up into six autonomous regions and Alaska will revert to Russian control.

"I was there recently and things are far from good," he said. "What's happened is the collapse of the American dream."

I saw this a while back. Not new news. Russians drink vodka in mass quantities like Coneheads do beer.

Interesting theory. Just food for thought here. Have you ever heard of Posse-Comitatus? That was law passed right after the Civil War and it stated that the US troops would never be used again against the US public. Geo. Bush, in his ultimate wisdom, repealed the law in October. That means folks, should the SHTF, you might end up fighting US troops if you don't obey whatever laws the complete morons in Washington dictate. While I can't see this happening, a review of the troops indicates that most US troops would fire on US citizens if ordered to do so. And if you are a Biblical believer, we are in the end of times and the US is not mentioned. Most apparently, we as a nation are doomed to fail....sometime.
Here's the repealed law:
Signed by President Bush on Oct. 17, the law (PL 109-364) has a provocative provision called “Use of the Armed Forces in Major Public Emergencies.” The thrust of it seems to be about giving the federal government a far stronger hand in coordinating responses to Katrina-like disasters. But on closer inspection, its language also alters the two-centuries-old Insurrection Act, which Congress passed in 1807 to limit the President’s power to deploy troops within the United States. That law has long allowed the president to mobilize troops only “to suppress, in a State, any insurrection, domestic violence, unlawful combination, or conspiracy.”
But the amended law takes the cuffs off.
Specifically, the new language adds “natural disaster, epidemic, or other serious public health emergency, terrorist attack or incident” to the list of conditions permitting the President to take over local authority — particularly “if domestic violence has occurred to such an extent that the constituted authorities of the State or possession are incapable of maintaining public order.”
Since the administration broadened what constitutes “conspiracy” in its definition of enemy combatants — anyone who “has purposely and materially supported hostilities against the United States,” in the language of the Military Commissions Act (PL 109-366) — critics say it’s a formula for executive branch mischief.
Yet despite such a radical turn, the new law garnered little dissent, or even attention, on the Hill. One of the few to complain, Sen. Patrick J. Leahy, D-Vt., warned that the measure virtually invites the White House to declare federal martial law.

And just in case you don't understand the difference between a Republic, which we are suppose to be, and the other forms of Government, watch this vid. It explains it about as good as it gets.

Oh yea it's all our fault.

Maybe he should be more worried about his own country's financial stability and quit worrying about ours.

We survived their collapse just fine in the early 90's.

I think maybe people don't realize, we are in a serious situation here. When the Great Depression came along, we weren't leveraged to the hilt by outside countries as we are now. That is intended as a doom and gloom statement. It is true none the less.

Yeah, like the Russians are in such great shape themselves. Lets see. Kirks plan to help America.

1) Stop allowing companies to export jobs.
2) Stop importing workers.
3) Stop aiding Foreign countries when ours needs aid.
4) More debt is probably not the answer. See steps one and two.

For the Marxists out there

"Owners of capital will stimulate the working class to buy more and more
expensive goods, houses and technology, pushing them to take more and more expensive credit, until their debt becomes unbearable. The unpaid debt will lead to bankruptcy of the banks, which will have to be nationalized. The State will then have to step in to save the banks which will eventually lead to communism."
--- Karl Marx, 1867 ---

I was thinking: Texas, Mexico II (South West and California), Little Mexico (Florida and the South), East Coast Gangland, Ohio (nobody messes with Ohio) and the rest being referred to simply as "The Badlands.."

I can deal with MO being called Badlands.

Maybe that will keep people out.
