.ORG Domains

Hey I'm just looking for some information about domains. I'm looking to buy a domain for my site and was wondering the conditions that come along with the end address. I heard before that .ORG is only for non-profit websites. Is this true? I suppose I would be in the clear for this since SFX is a non-profit website, but we take donations (which would be used for the premium domain).

My other question is the legality of it. ScreenFX is the name of another company somewhere, and the name of my site is not copyrighted/trademarked. Is it ok for me to buy, let's say, ScreenFX.org when the company who owns the .com might have a trademark or copyright on "ScreenFX"?

Thanks.

COM - originally intended for commercial sites, anybody can register these domains.
.NET - originally intended for companies involved in Internet infrastructure, anybody can register these domains.
.ORG - originally intended for not-for-profit organizations, anybody can register these domains.
.INFO - anybody can register these domains.
.BIZ - anybody can register these domains.
Use only letters, numbers, or dash ("-")
Cannot begin or end with a dash.
Must have at least 3 characters, but no more than 63, not including .COM, .NET, .ORG, .BIZ or .INFO

So the rules have changed... register all you want.
