They used to not put the 4X4 ORP sticker on the lariat ORP's. I am not sure that didn't change or at least dealers started putting them on themselves. I know in 97 the Lariat ORP did not come with the sticker. But as has already been said: All the options that make an ORP an ORP can be done after the fact if you start with a 4X4 truck with at least 3.55 rear end ratio (3.73 in some years). If you can locate yourself some 17 inch wheels (easy cause so many are trading them), HD shocks, Skid plates (if you didn't option for them originaly) and get your self some stickers. Easy.

Cool

Hey Thanks for all the comments about ORP. My main reason for asking was when I got my truck (I am 2nd owner), it already had the
4x4 OFF ROAD decals on both sides, but it has 16 inch tires and no skid plates. I guess the guy had a wish list. Would it hard to take these stickers off, at least the off road part? Oh by the way, my truck came with a manual shift for the 4 wheel drive unit.

BOB,

Not hard at all if you have a heat gun. You have to get them really hot to peel them off clean and easy.

I just let my truck sit in the sun a couple minutes then peeled them right off. However, when the truck gets dirty you can see the outline where the sticker used to be. It actually looks kinda cool but do I need to clean it with something to prevent paint damage? When the truck is freshly washed it isn't there. When I hit the dirt it "magically" reappears!

onemil: it sounds like there's still some "sticky-stuff" left on your paint. Try first some cleaner/wax. If that doesn't work, try a fine scratch remover lotion. If that doesn't work, try finding those clay bars everyone raves about. There's also a product that you can find at Walmart, I think it's called "goo" remover. After using any of these products, you will have to rewax that spot.
