Unhappy A sad, sad day.......

Well folks, I must first say thank you for all of your help, knowledge (some useful, some not), your wit, and your passion for Ford trucks! I am sad to say that I traded mine in yesterday (plays bugle) on a '93 Mustang GT (BIG SMILE). Betsy (the truck) will be missed. She was a good truck, loyal, dependable, trustworthy. But the time has come for a new toy (there's only so much you can do to a 4.9L!). I will still visit often because the next vehicle purchase (sometime 2001) is going to be a Lightning. As for now though, I will have to admit to my adultery and tell you all that I have been visiting Mustang GT sites. I beg for your mercy and forgiveness! I wish you all the best in your endevors and hope that I will still be allowed to be a member of this great group of truck owners! (wipes tear from eye) I must go now, I can't take the pain!

Sincerely,

Neal Coppola

New plate will hopefully read: "5point0"

Hey Neal!!

No way, you were one of our staunch "Big 6" guys around here!

You do what you have to do, of course. Don't let your truck's Superchip go to waste, as we can re-flash it for your Mustang GT if you like, so just give us a shout if you still have it and want to use it in your new GT.

And best of luck with your Mustang!

Congrats on the 'stang. It won't be long before you miss the utility of the truck, so you'll be back with the "L" before you know it.

Mike,

Thanks for letting me know that! I wasn't aware that could be done. I just called the dealer and they said that they would pull it for me and call me when they got to it. I'll be in touch soon then so that I can start hopping up my "5point0". Sweet!!! I'm excited!

'Til next time...

Hi Neal,

OK, I'm *very* glad you were able to let your dealer know in time to pull it out of your trade-in for you, instead of just losing it!

Talk to you soon,

Unhappy

Congrats on the new car, sorry to hear about your job. It seems like there has been a lot of bad luck going around lately...

Tonight, at approx 5 pm, a 67 year old lady decided to make a truck modification to my *very* babied 99 Lariat.

I was running about 25 mph through an intersection when this lady runs a red light and nails the passenger side of my truck. She hit us so hard it shoved us into the next lane, and almost into a light pole.

The passenger door is smashed in at the bottom and as a result the top of the door popped out. The wife to be can stick her arm out the top - between the door and the cab. The fender and wheel flare are smashed, and she scuffed up the left front rim and tire as well. The fourth door doesn't appear to mave much damage. All in all, I would say the door is smashed in at least 8-10".

My future wife was sitting in the passenger seat. She wasn't hurt, thank God. I can get always get my truck fixed...

We were in town tonight to celebrate her Birthday. Well, due to the wreck the only "T-bone" I had was in the street, not at the restaurant.

The police couldn't issue her a ticket because there were no witnesses. It is her word against ours, and the police aid the insurance companies will have to fight it out.

Well, sorry for such a long post, I just had to get it off my chest.

They can't issue her a ticket!? Gee ofi****er, she hit me!? That's insane!! I am glad to hear though that nobody got hurt! Make sure you have the body shop check the frame to make sure it's not bent. Ford does not recommend straightening of the new frames due to the metal composite! I hope you have good insurance! I know how it feels to have an accident in a babied truck, I've been there. Hope it gets out of the hospital (body shop) soon!! Good luck!

94 F-150,
Just wanted to see if you got your chip back from the dealer? When I traded my 94 Beretta Z-24 I left the brand new $399 Blaupunkt CD Player in but made it perfectly clear I was returning over the weekend to replace it with the factory tape deck. The dealer agreed to this and told me to hang on to a key and the transmiter for the alarm. I came back THREE DAYS LATER the following Saturday and low and behold, no Beretta! They told me someone came in the next day, loved the car and dropped $12,000 cash on the table for it. They gave me the guys phone # but he never returned my calls. I tried to recoupe my money from the dealer but he threw me a bunch of legal crap about the car becoming theirs after I signed the deal! I looked around for the car thinking I would use the keys to get in and take back my stereo. After a couple weeks of searching I gave up. Then about a month after I traded the car this d**khead calls me up and asked if I would send him the instructions and faceplate case for the stereo in his new car! Needless to say I was less than pleasant to the punk. Goes to show you how far a Chevy dealer will go to screw you over!
