Another IPOd Touch question?

My friend and I tried taking his I tunes off his computer and downloading them onto my ipod but we had no success. Is there a way to do this and how do you do it?

Thanks

if the music you are trying to use was downloaded from itunes, then most likely it is copyright protected and will only transfer to ipods(touch, etc) that use the account that it was downloaded with.

computer 1 owned by Johnny uses account "johhny1", he has 2 ipods, an iphone and a itouch. all of these products are used with account "johnny1".

computer 2 owned by Janie, uses account "jannie1". she has 1 itouch. her products are used with account "jannie1".

if jannie1 changes her username on her itouch to "johnny1", then she can transfer and play everything that "johnny1" has access to, but the bad news is, she can't play anything that "jannie1" is associated to.

recommendation: burn all your music on the account you are trying to get from to cd and then mp3 rip it back without the copyright protection.

yea you need to transfer the uncopy protected mp3's or whatever to your pc, then add them to your itunes then they'll add like they're supposed to. Otherwise the best you can do is get all his stuff, while deleting anything that you had it on from yourself.

When it 'synchs' it just deletes everything not on the particular itunes and adds what's there. It doesnt do a merge on the ipod/itouch level, have to have the actual song on the pc if you want to do that.
