A guy I used to work for would take 5 minutes to lecture me every time that I steered his trucks without moving and say I was costing him 10c worth of tread every time I did that...Its a prime example of stumbling over dollar bills(the 5 minute lecture where I could have been doing something else) to pick up pennies(the 10c of tread i burned off of the tire)... what a moron

 

well you should have told him that was the best 10c you had ever spent

Holding the wheel at full lock with the engine running can very quickly overheat the pump. Flow is significantly restricted at full lock and puts an operating load on the pump much greater than it was designed for. A few second here and there won't be a problem, but longer periods of time will be.
