Boj, I'm from the snowbelt that gets hit quite often off of Lake Erie. Two years ago, i was driving a 4X2 F150 down around Geneseo and was scared out of my mind. I just got my 97 F150 4X4 last october and by Christmas Break, I knew i made the right decision. We were hit with about two foot of snow in a night and it was nice to know that i could go just about everywhere. The roads were in horrible condition and four wheel drive put my life in danger and then saved it. You feel invincible but that leads to trouble. I would definetely go with the 4X4. It looks better and when the Western New York winters come around, you'll be glad you got it. BTW, i have played many a soccer tournaments up near Rochester, i know the area fairly well. Maybe we could start a club up here. Anyway. Just my two cents. Eric

Y2K - Oh, you can wear it out I've lost my pump so 4HI or LO won't engage anymore. This happened after dragging a large tree down one big a$$ hill and up another to get it out of the way of our trail. After that, couldn't climb a hill worth a darn. BUT, for Boj, 4X4 is a gift from God. Nothing more fun that going mudding, getting completely saturated with earth, then pull off onto a paved road or highway and watch the crap fly! No one will tailgate you after that!
