1979 Ford F150 4x4

I registered here back in 2006, but I never really posted much.. or, at all I suppose. I've been a regular member at fullsizebronco.com since early 2006, and it's pretty much been my "home forum".

I joined fullsizebronco.com with my 1992 Ford Bronco XLT. Here's a pic:

It had the 300 Inline 6, E4OD Auto, 6" BDS Suspension lift, 35" Pro Comp Mud Terrains, etc. etc.

It was an awesome truck and I loved it, but I sold it last June when I bought my house. Ever since I sold it I had been looking for one to replace it with. I've had several Full Size Bronco's and several F-150's. I've owned at least one from every generation, except prior to 1972 and below, and 2004 and up Every body style in between I've owned, with various drivetrain combinations. So to say the least, I knew what I wanted to get to replace the Bronco, and after months I finally found it and picked it up a few days ago.

It's a 1979 F150 SWB 4x4, 351M, C6, 93k on the clock. It was brought up from North Carolina in 2005. Drivetrain is said to be all original and it's a very good running truck. (Did anyone here own it?) It has a small lift, and currently some brand new 31" BFG All-Terrains. (The PO DD'd the truck close to 120 miles a day, so he didn't go bigger than 31's)

Here's some pics of the truck:

It's very solid underneath:

As you can see it's in pretty nice shape for the year. The truck has some damage on the passenger side door, and it had a straight black "michigan" door on it when I got the truck, so one of the first things I did was straighten out the passenger door as good as I could and re-install it. I think it looks much better.

I'm looking for a set of rims, I'm thinking Eagle Alloy Polished Aluminum, I've run a few sets of those on various trucks and liked them. Or I could go cheap and just get some basic chrome modulars. Also looking for a decent set of 33's to replace the 31's, for now. Aside from that I'm not sure exactly what else I want to do to it right away.. Suggestions?

I don't know if you know it or not but you posted the same pic 7 times.
Other than that nice bronco, it makes me want one even more.

Nice looking f-150, too bad you only kept it for 2 months. But it was a good trade to get your bronco back
