More horsepower/torque and LOWER PRICES. Every year, these damn trucks go up in price!

Hey Stephan Muscio, nice to see another Alaskan here.

1) Captains Chairs (with more support) should be standard in Supercabs. The stupid 40/60, should be order only.
2) The same fantastic stereo that I have in the Explorer. (3 in 1)
3) Moonroof
4) Delete the 4R70W, it's not beefy enough.
5) More interior/exterior colors.
6) Captains Chairs should be.....oooppsss!

Thumbs up

Found out after posting earlier today that the keyless entry does in fact honk the horn if you hit the button twice. That's one down, now on to that moonroof! Captain's chairs with the XLT would be nice too.

------------------
Y2K SCab 4X4, Chesnut Metallic, 5.4L, 3.55 Limited Slip, Skid Plates, Factory AM/FM/CD, 40/60 Split Bench, Sliding Rear Window, Towing Package and Keyless Entry. Tons of mods planned as soon as the wife lets me off the hook for the new toy!

re:

Farm Boy: If you lengthen the bed to 6.5 feet on the SuperCrew, wouldn't you essentially have an F250 Crew Cab?

Pretty much. I like the F150 and have no need for a truck as heavy and as big as the SD. The ride of the SD 4x4 is a bit harsh for as many miles as I do in a year.

Of course lately bigger is always better, and your argument is valid.

Look at the people driving a pickup that will never use the bed.

How about factory-installed Superchips and factory-installed K&N air intake kits? You'd think Ford could use these competitive advantages, perhaps as a package option, say, for $300.

Agree with all who said better tires. Better grip and better mileage.

A tach should be standard and the tach should have a red line. These are basic requirements, especially for stick-shift models (and don't give me the BS that I got from an engineer at Ford in Oakville who told me "it doesn't need one; it's got a rev limiter").

I definitely want rear headrests in my next SuperCab. I've been thinking I'll make and install some myself. Anyone done that?

Here's some from a Lightning guy.

1. Sunroof
2. 3.73 gears (optional, but I think its an option for 01)
3. Louder exhaust
4. A 2nd window switch like the driver's side, but to control the passenger side.
5. Manual transmission

Its pretty much perfect otherwise. Thanks

Ok heres my personal gripes...

1. center rearview to small..cant see enough through it.

2. 4 years is WAY to long to still have door cracks and other design flaws...FIX them already.

3. Keep up with the competition's power levels.

4. Put foglights on the 2WD models.

5. Sunroof would be nice.

6. Integrate better front speakers and a subwoofer into the premium stereo.

Nothing can be perfect and these are just some desires. I LOVE my truck and they are the best trucks on the road today! Keep up the great work Ford!

Jason

Would simply like to see a quality built truck. A better paint job and truck that want grow cracked doors and cracked roof channels. Sorry...Want give them a second chance here...I've had enough with my first and last ford!

Thought of something else:

A more open style of alloy wheel, something with maybe five slim spokes that really show off the four disc brakes. Maybe chromed.

Like so many of you, I like this truck pretty much the way it is. And way more than any of the other brands.

I've been away from my computer for a while but it sounds as though most of us are very pleased with our trucks. A general consensus is that a moon roof would be a welcome addition. I’d like to see a small displacement diesel engine. A true diesel not a warmed over gas like the mistake GM made with the 5.7 L. I wouldn’t mind seeing the super crew with a 6 ½ foot box on the longer wheel base chassis. Seems as though wheel choices would be welcome also. I myself would like to see a different style offered each year. I have the 17 inch chromed steel Lariat wheels mostly because most every ORP's I've seen have the alloys. Also I would like to see chrome exterior mirror inserts offered for the XLT 4X4’s and maybe a chrome door handle. Keep the good ideas going I plan on compiling the list and submitting it to Ford when we get more ideas.

Ditto cphillip. I called two dealerships, they won't even install a tranny temp gauge in my truck, said I'd have to go somewhere else aftermarket. I'm sure they're not to difficult to do, probably stop procratinating soon and get it done.
