Smile Possible Key to Free Stuff From Ford

I know quite a few members here have received "free" stuff from Ford like chairs, Raoul's blanky, etc.

I have a feeling it may come from the surveys you fill out from Ford. A friend of mine filled out all excellents on his survey for his Explorer and received two lawn chairs that have Explorer printed on them. His girlfriend bought a Contour about the same time and slammed the dealer she bought from and received a "Sometimes the road of life has rough spots", or something like that, card. I received the same card from Ford and my only complaint was how long delivery took. (due to floormat dispute, and the finance guy trying to talk me into extra crap).

Anyone else notice this pattern?
I'll make sure that when pops buys a new truck he fills the card out with all .

My dealership had a copy of the survey laminated and taped to the desk. They said if I wasn't going to write excellent in every box, that they would like to take care of the problem in advance. That's pretty manipulative for an independant survey.

That's what I was thinking with the "free stuff" deal, talk about biased results.

The VW dealer my g-friend bought her car from does the same exact thing your dealer does, they'll do about anything (within reason) to get those marks too.

Question

So are you saying that if we kiss their @ss, we might get a blanky to wipe our mouth on?

Maybe if you spend $30,000 and make them look good on the survey, you will get a ballpoint pen!

For the amount I paid for my truck and the amount of trouble I went through initially, I was keeping my fingers crossed for the single serving mint with F150 printed on the label, or the F150 Disposable Razors. But, I can't have nice things.

I have to admit I did get a blanket from Ford with their logo on it.

It wasn't because of a survey though.
The heater in my new truck never has worked and I demanded that they do something about it. They knew I meant business and sent me the blanket. I asked if they were crazy, did they expect a blanket to satisfy my problem?
Within two weeks I had a nice, thick pair of Ford socks.

You just got to know how to deal with them is all.

Yup, I filled out the satisfaction questionaire too and only whined about the delivery time... which was 92 days. I received the apologetic greeting card too, then about a week later my sales guy sent me a Ford ballcap. Pretty cool too.

I remember one time, a long time ago, my dad bought a new Pontiac and the dealer gave us free gasoline for 3 months. This was back when gas was 35¢ a gallon though.

Raoul, are the Ford socks the same color or do they match your other "pairs" of socks?

Well this is my third new FORD and I have yet to receive a survey. I owned two new Toyota's and received surveys immediately after buying each one. Maybe FORD talked to Toyota and was afraid of what I'd have to say .

Well now I guess I have to eat crow, I received a bottle of touch-up paint, a year to some magazine I'll never read and a card to remind me I own an F-150, plus a bonus card to send Ford should my address ever change. (How strange, considering I just put in an offer for a house this week!!)

Oh, well I may not be able to keep myself warm with a blanky if I get stuck somewhere, but I can always sniff the paint.

I have filled out the surveys, and got nothing. When I got my door crack I realized that Ford never sent me any touch up paint. With every othe Ford I have owned(5 others)I got some touch up paint. I called Ford and they told me they don't send the touch up paint anymore.
The only thing I got was a reminder to go in for my 20,000 mile service, two months after it was in the shop at 20,000 miles.

No touch up paint for my 2000, either. I did get a nice Bosch cordless drill kit for the test drive last fall, though.
(Unrelated: I guess I need to add Mobil 1 to my signature.)
