Anyone know when the new Ford Escape will hit the market? Car and Driver gave a good review of it recently. I heard it was to be out this summer, but are we really looking at October for a release? Wife is pregnant, and would like something a little easier to cart the kid(s) around in. (possibility of multiples, eek!!)

Isn't this SUV trend about over yet? They're just getting down right ridiculous. I saw a '01 Explorer, I'm guessing, the other day in my parking lot. There was more ground clearance on the VW Bug next to it, and the Bug has less platic. This whole trend is about as ridiculous as the cigar craze.
