Post Reprogramming Remote Entry Remotes?

I just received a third remote for my truck's entry (Even though this next one is supposed to have buttons on the door, in a truck, HA!)

How do I program a remote fob to match my keyless entry system?

THanks

Cool

Turn the ingnition key from "off" to "run" 8 times, ENDING the 8th time in the "run" position. The locks will cycle. Press a button on each remote (any button). The door locks will cycle to confirm programming of each remote when you push the button. When you're done, turn the key to "off" and remove. The locks will again cycle.

Question

Howdy Sycoholic,

Was wondering if you have had any come in where the door keypad works intermitently or stops working all together. I have a friend that purchased his Expedition around the same time as mine. His is a 2000 model also, his keypad stopped working all together, and mine I have to punch the code in sometimes as much as dozen times for it to unlock the doors. He said that his did the same thing then stopped working.

Was wondering what you thought. I don't know if any other years are having similiar problems. What do you think it might be?.
