Get a Lightning, that'll solve your problem. (spending more time at the gas station problem)

That beast is expensive! My old truck would take $20 to fill, thats half a tank now! And it lasted twice as long! (Got there half as fast though...)

I usually get questions about my Moonlight Blue paint color. Most think is is a custom job. When it is polished up and in bright sunlight it does look pretty cool.

I get questions/comments almost everyday. And I like the people that make good comments or ask INTELLIGENT questions. But I get so tired of dumb people with things like "You get good gas mileage with that?", or "How does that thing handle on the road?". If I wanted a freakin Geo Metro or a Cadilac, I would have bought one. My favorite, "Did your truck come that way from Ford?". Yeah, MORON, it's the off-road package. I'm glad this thread started so I can blow off some steam.

Cool

I love it!!!
I was pulling out of wal-mart the other day and a little 2 or 3 year old started pointing at my truck. His Dad picked him up and "yea, what a truck" It put a big grin on my face. The local gas station where I fuel up is home to the highschool hang out. During fueling up they look at my truck. I drive by them, let them hear the rumble, as if to say bring on that piece o' $h*t Chevy that your mommy and daddy bought you, you spoiled little brat!!!
Sorry, got a little carried away at the end.

My 2000 F-150

If it looks good
you'll see it
If it sounds good
you'll hear it
If it's marketed right
you'll buy it
But..if it's real
you'll feel it

I've never gotten a "nice truck" from a guy only from girls, I wonder why.

Yea we should get together sometime and checkout each others trucks. Actually I think I've seen you and your truck before. I work downtown and I've seen a truck which sounds alot like yours driveing through downtown. Isn't there another F150 Online member here in S.D.? I forget their name but they have the lifted Blue Stepside.

Cool

Lots of people stared, pointed and asked questions about my last truck. One guy scared the daylights out of me by walking up on my blindside and just started talking. I was driving in heavy trafic that wasn't moving much (Wash DC!!) I guess he figured he'd pass the time that way. I now get just as many people asking questions about my new truck but I've noticed that these guys are older than the ones that asked about my F150!!! And I get a LOT more truck drivers looking and asking questions. A lot of the questions are wanting to know if Ford made the truck like it is now and then they want to know how to do their truck like it. There's a couple of business's here in town that should be paying me commission!!! The biggest question I get is how do I like the 6 speed manual transmission

I have gotten quite the opposite response from idiots who do not have Fords, for example, there was this one jerk Duh-chevy man who said my f150 was trash...I told him his brain was gone and that he should try to follow me into my back pasture on a very rainy day and we'd see who came out first...never heard from him again about it. But I would love the challenge.

F150deerhunter - I see you use your pasture like I use mine Animals would snap their legs in some parts of mine lol. one fence row has ruts too deep that I bottom out under the truck. I just drove through your neck of the woods and was surprised at all the Chevy a$$holes there. I met a few at a fast food joint when I stopped for lunch and a gas station. You'd think a place with a Ford stamping plant THAT big, there would be more F series driving around.

Hey scot,

I just moved down here from Columbus back in September. I used to live in Westerville (I actually grew up in Chillicothe where all the big deer are). Did they every finish all that road contruction on 315 and 270? I hate Ohio road construction with a passion. They never finish. Anyway, to your point about a lot of chevy in Louisville, On any given day driving on the interstate, For every 10 trucks, I would say 7-9 is a ford truck. Sounds like you did not see Louisville on a good day. Ford is way #1 in louisville.

Yeah, I get approached all the time... I couldn't even name all the questions I've been asked, everything from what size tires I have, to people asking me if I'm scrapping the truck (usually when it's on the trailer)

People *must* be approaching my truck all the time. I see their trail of dings and scratches all the time! GRRRR!!!!!!!!

Actually, I live in an area where trucks and SUVs are very VERY popular. Nobody seems to look twice. When I had one of the first '97 models, people looked. These days, you see one or more stopped at practically every intersection. Even Navigators are all over the place.

If you really want to get noticed around here, drive a Hummer.
