Spendulous Package can't be viewed; Transparency you can belieive in!
The Spendulous Package is set to be voted on at 7 am. The bill is not available to be viewed not only by the American people, but most of the politicians voting haven't had a chance to look at it. It is currently not available for viewing.
What I've heard so far...
Tax cuts down to 36% and spending up to 64%
Home buyer tax credit has been cut from 15k to 8k!
440 MILLION dollars in STD prevention is BACK IN!
This is getting rediculous. The Bill will be completely different than what it was supposed to be. Americans will be completely outraged when we find out what has been changed in this thing. We are being RAILROADED!!

And you are supprised why? They cut several of the tax breaks such as the home, new car purchase and a few others.
I printed the original version a couple weeks back, that one was 258 pages and would take a week or more to decifer how and where the money was really going. Am sure when this one comes out in print it will be a cluster fark to try and read. The early one I printed before, I am still not sure how so say some of those numbers like 98,486,000,000 for what ever it was. Sure that # has grown since.
Here is a summary of the last version, before the lastest changes.

The start of page 2 is funny.

I just don't get why they choose to hand over this money to the people who screwed there individual states over. Hell last year my Gov gave his wife a 250k bonus, at the same time he gave Corrections a one time 1100 bonus to be broken into 12 payments and individually taxed. Amounted up to about 350 bucks, then he froze all hiring 6 months before elections. NC is the East coast California, I am very in fear that this stim plan is going to hit a flock of geese and its not gonna land in no river.
This was the original draft.

Remember it is called the American Recovery and Reinvestment Bill.
Not the Stimulus Bill

What we do know is Japan was in a very similar situation in the 90's. They spent 4X + what we have initially. What we haven't learned is that it did absolutely nothing to help them and actually made their recession longer and brought in what they call the "lost decade". For some reason noone is looking at that.
Everything is too RUSHED. We have to do it right now. There is no time to wait!! The reason there is no time to wait is because people may see what CRAP is actually being hidden and slipped into this bill at the last minute. Years down the road we will look back on this and think; WHAT A HUGE MISTAKE THAT WAS!!
The final bill is now over 1075 pages!! It was originally just over 400 pages. So do you think all the politicians will have time to read 1000+ pages and make an educated vote on this? It's being rammed down our throats. HURRY HURRY, vote quick. Noone has read this bill nor do they know what all is in it.

I think we all have to understand one very important point here. No matter which party or politician is in power, no matter what they do (even if it has absolutley no effect), they will claim that it was their efforts that "fixed" the situation. Even if it really isn't fixed - which it won't be.

It is a horrible precedent for a new administration and Congress to set.
I hope you will remember you supported this kind of ram-it-down-your-throat action when we get a Conservative administration that tries to do the same to you libs...
I'll say I would have gladly waited an extra week to allow the government and the people to view what is in this extremely large bill that may permanently reshape our nation.
It is a horrible precedent for a new administration and Congress to set.

"I've had to put up with this from the Bush administration for the past 8 years!!"
