I truly wonder what the proper solution is, if any, and how this was allowed to continue considering three of her first six children have apparently some sort of disorder that gives her a fairly good disability income per child etc. etc.

I have seen first hand, gaming of the system by not only aquaintances but also some of my employees.

This is possibly the worst example of gaming that I have seen myself and apparently/possibly by a person who should have been diagnosed much earlier as incompetent and taken out of the loop for in vitro fertilization.

Having lived in Cali from 1954 to 1974, I have no particular sympathy for their current budget deficit problem but to add what seems a million or so more for this one very disturbed person's fantasy does make me a bit sorry for the state.

She is a leech on our society. She is currently receiving food stamps and gets "aide" for her 3 disabled children. She is unemployed and lives with her parents in a 4 bedroom home; with 6 kids!! Her mother said she is fed up and tired of taking care of her children. Yet she insists on getting In Vitro Fertilization; how see could afford this who knows, and has 8 more kids. The tax payers will be picking up this bill for the rest of their lives.

So she is up to 14 kids that are supposed to be taken care of in her mother's house that is already over crowded. All of her children are being abused. There is no way she can take care of them adequately with no source of income and no place to call "home". She is a total NUT JOB!

 

The woman is insane and the Dr. should lose his license to 'practice' medicine. So many things wrong with this country today, this is one of them.

If you can't provide for kids, the government should give them to someone who can. This is one of those rare cases where government intervention is a good thing.

 

everyone keep working.. were paying for those kids. i saw in the news she already has offers for a reality show. unreal.. im sick of people being rewarded for irresponsible behavior.

 

Strange as it may seem, I am not picking on supermom whom I think has some verifiable mental problems, but on the vultures that seem to be taking advantage of her.

I don't have any links here, but I read a few days ago that her mother had moved out of her own house in protest, perhaps, regarding the whole situation.
Certainly, she must have been tired of the phone calls and the papparazzi or however it is spelled.

Further, I read that supermom is now living in a motel somewhere and it is not known who is paying for the motel. The article did not say if the first six children were with her there or somewhere else.

It does seem that she has a lawyer and perhaps, almost certainly, a publicist/agent.

I really feel sorriest for the kids, as there seems to be almost no way they can grow up in any sort of normal fashion. They stay with the mom, their grandmom, become wards of the state or foster homes, none of the alternatives seems to me to be on the side of the kids.

The burden on the taxpayers of Cali is something we can quantify in dollars.
The burden on 14 children born of this lady is not something we can quantify.

Seems to be an ugly story getting uglier.

Glad to see you mention the doctor too. Any woman that has more children, especially via a method that is known to cause multiple births, is mentally unstable.

I have to wonder where pro-lifers would have stood had this controversy been about her deciding to abort three or four of the fetus'. That would have been a real dilemma.

 

this woman just did this for money... if the docor had refused she most likely would have sued him.

 

This girl doesn't work, is on welfare, and just a few minutes ago I saw on the news where she is now asking for "donations" to help pay for the assistance in raising these kids. It is absolutly SICK. She asked to have herself implanted with 8 embrios so she could have a large family when she already had 6 kids. She was originally turned down by another doctor to have the procedure done and she then found this crackpot that agreed to do it. She and the doctor should be shot and the kids should be put up for adoption (though that would be a sad state of affairs since the children are the ones who will truly suffer in all of this) and of course the state of Cali will have to incurr the exspense. Sometimes people really suck.

 

It does suck. Clearly she was mentally unstable, clearly the Dr. should have told her no, and clearly the tax payers will get stuck with a huge tab thanks to the mom and the Dr.

Unfortunately, all the money we have paid and will pay on her is just a drop in the ocean of money wasted by our California state government.

Makes me wonder how much the state still pays to provide medical care for illegal aliens, despite voter approved initiatives to stop that spending and save the money. We are in a huge budget mess and will now have increased sales taxes, vehicle registration fees, etc... but no politician will even bring up cutting medical services to illegal aliens...

 

She is going to get one huge tax cut, that is for sure!

 

I can't understand why everyone just assumes the state will pay for everything. We need to chip in and buy everyone concerned a set of "truk nutz" so they can stop wondering what the "right" thing is and start doing what common sense dictates. I believe the up side of this financial crisis may be the end of the "entitlement" generation.

Why does everyone feel she should be bailed out of this situation? Sure it's borderline cruelty to the kids if they don't get help, sure it's goes against a sane person's sense of responsibility and decency, but dammit you and I didn't make the **** poor decisions that got her to this point. Place the responsibility squarely where it belongs. Let her and the In-Vitro Witch Doctor work things out. Let them figure out how to raise and sustain the family they created. Garnish his wages, sell is property, allow him (DR.) to support his actions. If he had the conviction (no pun intended) to perform the task, let him have the right to back up his convictions with his own money, not the governments. I'll bet if you hold their feet to the fire there will be less of this in the future and more personal responsibility. (Where the heck is 01XLTSport when you need him? He's been preaching personal responsibility on this board for years.

 

It comes from Democrats promising people things that they never deliver on, and keeping these people in a perpetual state of needing entitlement. It's how they keep their base. Stupid is as stupid does. I listened to a phone call of a woman on radio yesterday, who was in the middle of getting her car repossessed. She told the repossessing company that she would soon be rich later this year because Barack Obama is president. And these are the people that helped get Obama elected.
