Does it really matter as long as the information is accurate? Then again, I'm sure you'll prefer my link since Rush manages to fabricate a way to blame Democrats.

The timing before our election is very suspicious.
IMO, our government already knows WHO did this, but they are afraid to let WE, the PEOPLE, know because they fear a backlash.
Damn it, I want to know WHO tried to bring down our financial system!
Until we know WHO pulled this stunt (and there are probably only a handful of individuals and countries who had the capability) the possibilities of the WHY are endless.

The fact that this is being swept under the rug and we are not being told who did this concerns me greatly. There is very much an element of the powers that be telling us "You can't handle the truth!" going on here.
Let me theorize that if it were Al Queda, Iran or North Korea, it would have leaked out by now. So if you take our known enemies off the list, it narrows down to friends and psuedo-friends that were responsible.
Somebody is hiding something big here, IMO. If the mainstream media refuses to touch the story to protect the guilty, I'll gladly listen to what Rush has to say.
Well, I was doing a brief websearch on this stuff.
It's a little hard to get confirmed information whether or not the run on the money markets was as large as the Rep. said, and how much of it was stopped by Paulson and Bernanke.
It appears that throughout that week, there were huge net withdrawals, and on that morning there were over $550 billion in 'sell' orders.
One of the possible reasons that this is on the down low is that the higher ups think that this could shake confidence in our economy, and cause a huge run on all banks from investors of all sizes.
FWIW, I came across a few articles re: George Soros' invovlement in the collapsse of the pound and the Bank Of England in 1992, and in the Asian Economic Crisis of 1997. Soros made a reported $1.1 Billion in profit on the English ecnomic crisis alone, and is known as the man who broke the Bank of England.
IMO, our nation's situation is more similar to the Asian crisis of 1997 (it built from the mid 1990's and was still a crisis in 1998). Governments were toppled. Currencies ruined. GDP and standards of living plummeted.
Like it or not, Soros (a well known funder of Obama, Democrats and liberal causes) has experience at this kind of thing. He is also known to vehemently hate Bush and the Republican party, and has many quotes to that effect.
Basically, Soros is on a short list of people/governments who could make a run on the money markets. Some references also implicate China in exacerbating the southeast Asian crisis of 1997. They certainly have the potential to do even worse to us, when the time comes. If China or Soros were the source here, that would explain why the media and the politicians don't want to bite the hands that feed them.

momalle1, I remember the time when you wanted to have an honest straightforward debate about an issue, and I was foolish enough to believe you wanted the same now. I won't let that happen again.

Why, did he comment on it? Seriously, is that the best you have? For the record, I don't care for Franken or Olbermann or any of them that twist or lie, left or right. Unlike Limbaugh fans, I don't support fiction writers because they support my ideology.

Yeah... keep bagging on Rush.. see where that gets you. He is the most hated man by the left. He is checked for facts more than any other American. He is over all very accurate and you lefties hate him for it. BTW... he has the biggest audiance for a reason. That is why the left keeps trying to shut him down. Or are we all stupid? I don't think so. Left leaning talk radio doesn't make it because the lies are to much for people to handle.

I might have a new signature. Are you trying to say Rush is honest and accurate? That's funny.
I know it's hard for you think too much, but it's not that I'm "bagging" Rush, it's just him in this example, I'm "bagging" all of them, left or right that lie (wow, I actually said that, in this thread). Are you all stupid? No, but it's not like you're a good endorsement. Again, here you are defending Rush while you freely admit you don't care if your facts are true and that you feel we're in a culture war. You should call Rush and see if he wants your endorsement.
