I hate the 2-10 shift, seems to waste the best part of my day, I prefer the 10-6 but I rarely get that anymore

2-10. kinda sucks you wake up get lunch and go to work basically.

my friend works 5pm-5am 6 days a week and 5pm-3:30am the other day. from what he says he hates his job because of the shift, but loves the money hes making. makes about $1500-$2k/week and hes 19 so hes enjoying the money.

he asked off for a day last weekend, the boss laughed in his face. and he found out he was the only one who had to work sunday, so he made a helper come in and to his bitch work.

Right now I am working 4:30 to 1:00, not too bad. Really soon we will be working 2:30 pm to 3:00 am, the money will be good but the 60 hour weeks will not be good.

I've been working some type of 2nd shift schedule about 11 of the last 15 years. Right now its 3-11 Sunday to Thursday. When I was young/single it was good/ok, but now with a wife and 2 kids, it sucks. It's like I don't ever get to see anyone for any extended time frame.

i dont mind it since im not a morning person. other than that, it sucks cause you dont see many people as much, family is impacted specifically.

i been on days the last few weeks and my 16 mo old is just loving havin me home when its late afternoon/bedtime.

Im with im no morning person (even though im up at 5:30 this morning ) But you also typically get a raise for working 2nd or 3rd.

I love 2nd shift. You don't have to get up early, you can still sleep at night and you can get stuff done during the day without taking a day off.

I worked 2nd for almost 2 years. I'm glad to be back on first shift. If you have a family 2nd isn't the place to be. If you're single 2nd is pretty good.

I work 6PM-6AM four days on four days off. It does kinda suck since the days you work you cant get anything done. But they did give me an extra 5k a year to stay on it, plus since you cant do anything on those days it does save you some money. But, I have gotten fed up with it already. I loved making my own hours at my previous job, usually came in at 10AM
