Help with a Jeep
Need some quick advice here. On my friend's '99 Wrangler TJ, there are two little straps that hold the universal to the rear axle yoke, each strap has two tiny bolts to clamp the universal in. One of those 4 bolts broke off, causing a major vibration. Somehow on Wednesday it needs to be driven about 300 miles back home. He says the vibration was getting steadily worse as he drove up, now to the point the whole steering column vibrates wildly when you step on the gas, so leaving it how it is is not an option.
We only have basic hand tools/ratchets. Figured we could just replace that yoke, except it's a giant nut that's so rusty you can't even see the threads. So it would seem that the only other option would be to remove the rear shaft and drive it in 4wd (no lockers so it wouldn't be too bad). The slip spline is well greased and slides easily by hand. Question is..will all the t-case fluid slosh out when that is removed?
Any other ideas for this?

If his t-case is still stock then all the fluid will leak out.
