Talking MUDDER.........

Hey Mudder, I was wondering if i you had any pics of your roll bar and if you could email them to me. I want to get one and just wanted to see up close how it mounted etc. If you dont have any pics, dont worry about. Also, what kind is it and is there a website that i can find them? Thanks . My email address is huntere175@yahoo.com

I think Mudder and I have the same one. It's a grizzly brand. I got mine from JC Whitney. It came to about $330 after the 15% off coupon (chrome). I also have the club cab short box. The one I got definately wasn't custom made for the F-150. It was easy to install, just put together, set in box, drill holes and bolt in.
Some things I didn't like: The front legs ended up on top of the box holddown bolts, so they're not really flush with the box. The back legs end up inside the fenderwells. The old kits had the legs go to the front or the top of the fenderwells. Now, I couldn't haul a 4X8 sheet of plywood, but I have another 'work' truck for that. When I went to drill the back leg bolts I noticed that the outside two holes would be visible from the outside fenderwells (inside and above the tire), so I only did the inside two bolts.

All in all I'm satisfied with it. The cost was similar to those fiberglass wings and no holes in the cab! I could pull it off and put rubber plugs in the holes in about 15 minutes. It matches the 'tube' nerf bars and push guard nicely. I have a rubber bed mat and just cut out holes to wrap around the tubes and lay over the feet.
