I saw that last night on the news and thought duuuuhh, do you think it takes more energy to move an object that weighs more and has more air resistance?

What a profound statement by ford, they probably hired a consulting firm to figure it out too....

I wonder how soon the government will find a need to sue them out of business like they are with tobacco companies and gun manufactures. What a joke that is.

I think Ford is trying to position themselves as the "Green" car company. Afterall, even environmentalist buy cars. The current SUV boom is bound to end someday, and Ford is trying to anticipate future markets. Unfortunately, they got burned in the PR game when all the media ran with Ford's 'admission of guilt'.
