Ordering wait times.......
I ordered my F-150 on 04-08-00 I called my dealer today and got an answer to my question on the truck, that I would still be waiting 4 to 6 more weeks from today. Does this sound like an extremely long time to anyone else? What are some wait times for others that have ordered their trucks? They do not even have a VIN number yet.....

checkout the other post about order and deliver called "Order and Deliver" in the general section (https://www.f150online.com/f150board...ML/000669.html.
Ordered mine 4-12-00 got a call yesterday saing it should be at the dealer on 5-25-00 that is 1 day over 6 weeks.
I asked the dealer many times if they had allocation to order it they always assured me they did. It appears they weren't kidding =]. Got a priority code of 10.
What priority code did they give you?

Sounds about right. I will be picking mine up on Monday, 8 weeks on the dot. Don't expect a VIN until Ford actually schedules the build. It took 6 weeks to get my VIN. . .

It really does sound about right. Mine arrived around the 6th or 7th week after I ordered it. Friend of mine, who ordered a 2000 sport before I did, had to wait over 9 weeks.
