OK, well I have already posted my pinstriping woes in the OTHER BODY forum, but basically all I want to know is can I order either silver, grey, white, or platnium colored stickers for my 2000 Black Lariat (with ORP sticker also) - I have the nasty gold/red ones from the factory - I really am convinced that the way they decide which sticker combo to put on there is just let whatever jackleg is working on the assembly line that day put whatever he wants on there!!!!! I have never heard of anyone who got to "order" the type of pinstripes they want - they didn't ask me when I ordered, but I know the dealer is an idiot because they also didn't know you could "order" a plain black lariat either...it really sucks that although you are "ordering" from the factory you really can't get what you want and now I have to trust the "rope-smoking" guy who comes around to the dealership to put the stripes on correctly - ASSUMING I can get one of the colors I mentioned above....anybody have one of those colors? (either 99 or 00) I know you can get the 4x4Offroad sticker in white or silver, but what about the "lariat" sticker...? Thanks for assistance

Is the dealer charging you extra for this?? Or is he changing these decals out for free?? If you really don't like what's on there, why don't you find a local decal/paint shop and order ones that you do like. And in what ever color you want too. I had some put down the sides of my truck that look like gold checkered flags. These are rather large decals but I remember seeing much smaller ones and a few with #'s and letters. Also "Andthensometoo" had one made for my tailgate that reads "unaFORDable". Look into the custom decals, you might find something that is perfect for you.

Well what you need to do is look at the trucks on your local Ford dealers lot and/or talk to users on this site and find out what color pinstripes come on all the 99/00 Lariats. All Amazon Green Lariats come with a tan pinstripe. We know from your truck that Black has a tan/red pinstripe. How about it, any other 99/00 Lariat owners out there. What color truck and pinstripe you got?

P.S. In case you don't already know, the Lariat pinstripe decal is different for 97/98. In those years the word "Lariat" is in the middle of the drivers door, instead of on the rear door (or bed in regular cab and supercrew models) as in 99/00 models.

No help here. I have the 'nasty' Gold/Red pinstripe.

I remember when my truck came in I got a scare too. There was only one Lariat on the lot. It was 'hideous' Black.
Mine was inside.

Well, I ordered mine on March 24, and it came in Tuesday, May 5th, so 5 weeks total delivery time...anyway, I haven't actually seen or heard of the grey, silver, or platinum colored stripes except from one person...and I am not sure but I think it was a '98 model, and I am unsure if the stripes changed in '97, '98, and/or '99/'00????

I saw an '00 all black Lariat on the lot this weekend, sure enough gold/red striping. It did look pretty bad. A Wedgewood XLT had just a single color gold pin stripe. I think all the Lariats get a two color pinstripe as the word 'Lariat' is part of the trim and the two colors allows the word to be outlined.

OK, well I am almost convinced that there is no such thing as a silver or grey or platinum or white LARIAT STRIPING for a SUPERCAB...its really funny, I would think that this would be a good, popular alternative to the gold striping (well they did do it for the Lightning and the SuperCrew) but it seems my only hope MIGHT be to get just the "4x4 Offroad" sticker in white (I'm pretty sure I have seen that somewhere...) and maybe they make just a 'plain' single pinstripe in white ...it's sad when you know what you want but cannot get it...pity party
