MESSED UP 150
i was driving to school today to pick up my daughter, and had to stop for a school bus unloading kids.. i was sitting there waiting and i got rear -ended by a lady in a windstar..she claimed she never saw me or the bus...completely trashed my rear bumper, buckled the rear panels, messed up tailgate..she hit me so hard she actually lifted the back of my truck up off the road...even messed my my front seats.. the impact was so hard that it thru my wife and i forward towards the dash and then slammed us back in our seats when the back end came down... now my seats wont adjust..all this today on my birthday...happy birthday huh??..very lucky no one hurt in either vehichle..

OMG! Thank your lucky stars you didn't get seriously hurt! And that your daughter wasn't in the vehicle!

To bad about your truck I still don't know how any one can't see cars, trucks, or school buses stoped ahead of them they must not be looking down the road when talking on the cell phone or playing around with there radio or what ever they are doing when they should be driving and looking to see whats going on in front of them.

So sorry to hear about your accident. I hope you and the wife unit are OK. Did the idiot even use her brakes??? Was the police able to tell how fast she was going when she hit you?? Is your truck repairable??? At first when I read your post, it didn't sound so bad but w/the seats not working right, it sounds like you might have something kinked up underneith. Keep us posted on how the insurance handles everything. Best of luck to you. (Now might be a good time to stop by your local Ford dealer and test drive a couple of new trucks)

there were no skid marks to indicate she even tried to brake..she told the officer and myself she never even saw us ( i would think a teal f150 stopped in front of you would be kinda easy to see )
i had the body shop do a prelim look..he said can fix one quarter panel, will have to replace the passenger side panel, tailgate is fixable, obviously a new bumper, will have to look closer at the seats..the bolts holding the bumper on were sheared right in half..but thats why i own a truck,,no major injuries and its a lot better to have to fix a truck than to fix a person....
