In need of a new phone
In need of a new phone
Hey guys I'm kind of in a hard place right now. I've got the Iphone (2g) and I have been having lots of problems with it. It constantly drops calls, I can't get service in areas where other at&t customers can, and it freezes sometimes. With that being said, I love the phone. I love the functionally of the phone and all the applications and internet which is really important for work. I've had blackberries and treo's before. I like the treo better than the blackberry but the technology doesn't touch that of the Iphone. I played with the new blackberry bold and wasn't impressed. The internet browser is crappy, I didn't like the layout of the phone, and it just felt cheap to me in general. So with that said I need a phone that is both reliable and capable. I could upgrade to the Iphone 3g but it's not going to change the reception of the phone I don't think. I have taken my phone in several times and they can't do anything for me. So does anyone have any suggestions or know of a new phone coming out soon that would fit my needs?
Thanks guys
Thanks guys
Of course it would change the reception, its a different freakin network! However, you'd still be stuck with a POS iPhone! The Bold is the shiznit, its three times the phone! Hell, a 10 year old 'berry is more phone than the iJoke will ever be. Those are your only two choices with AT&T, the rest are junk Windoze mobile phones.
This is just my observation but having an iphone (not the 3G one) and another flip phone (work phone) that both use AT&T service...I almost always seem to have one more bar on the other phone. Not sure if it's something in the design of the antenna of the iphone...thought I read somewhere that the outside chrome looking ring was part of the antenna?? Love my iphone though....just wish it could play flash videos instead of only stuff off of youtube...it'd be near perfect for my use if it did.
I love the iPhone for everything except the phone part. I have had the 2G and 3G and there is not much difference in the phone reception. I am sure it is NOT the iPhone's fault, being I have tried to switch to AT&T (Cingular) years ago when blue-tooth first came out with the same lousy results ... Dropped call after dropped call.
I was with Verizon before there was even Verizon (18 years). I have had more dropped calls with AT&T in one year than I had with Verizon for all those years. I use to have one and two hour phone conferences regularly on Verizon (even while driving around) without a drop. I would not even try that feat with an AT&T cell phone. I am in NW Atlanta near I-75 and Verizon's service is king here...
And to all your iPhone haters ... you should thank Apple for making all the other manufacturers step up to the plate and try to match the iPhone...
