Need some Advice: Sell or keep

Hey guys I need some help from ya. I came into the truck market with intentions of waiting until I found exactly what I wanted (2007-2008 FX4 supercrew 6.5 box, silver or white, black interior ~20,000 miles). I ended up purchasing a Blue 2005 FX4 supercab w/ 6.5 box with 64,000 miles on it. It didn't really fit what I wanted but I could not turn the deal down. It had brand new tires (summer)(I tossed on some wrangler MT/R's for the winter), brakes & rotars, tie-rods, and ball joints (All replaced at a respectable local ford dealership that I knew very well). I purchased the truck with intentions of selling it and jumping into what I want in a couple of months. I am starting to fall in love with the truck and want to mod the truck.

Question is would keep this truck (slightly worried about millage), and drive it for a year and put some goodies on it or hurry and sell it while gas is low and it is winter yet leaving me without a truck for several months.

Thanks,
Ryan

64,000 miles is nothing on these trucks. If it's solid and been maintained properly, it should go 200,000 plus. Just depends on what you want to drive. I have 81,000 on mine and plan on keeping her a LONG time.

Ah you and me are in the same boat. I personally need a screw, but I have already sunk a good bit of money into my truck. If I tried to sale it now I would have to let everything Ive done go with it to get what I need outta it. I bought mine brand new, so I just decided heck with it im going to move the seat forward untill my kid gets old enough to do the child seat thing. Imma keep what I got and throw some fender flares on it, and do alil custom paint and keep her at least pay it off.

Even with gas low, the economy might make it hard for you to sell it at the price you would want.

You're worried about 64K miles? My F-250 has double that on it. I wouldn't be afraid to drive it to California -- again. My Cavalier has 3x that miles and while I would be hesitant, I'm 95% certain it'd drive all the way across the country.

x2. my dads f150 that i inherited had 170,000 miles on it before needing work (and the guy we sold it too still drives it). my 02 150 has a hair under 73,000 and i would love to take it to 200,000. without a doubt im keeping it until im 3 or 4 years out of college.

I just don't know how it was maintained before I bought it. It was a singler owner (older guy), I am hoping he took care of it. I am heading to graduate school in CO and will start putting on some miles driving from NY and there a couple times a year.

Thanks for the input.
