Those guys better be careful, I can see people buying them. Seriously. Those that have cash, i.e. professional sports stars, and other rich people. How much does one of the Lamborghini's cost? If my roomate had the cash, he woulds get one. Its only a matter of time.

Cool

Have you folks seen some of the Studiocabs that Kenworth is building on their T2000's? (that's the truck on 18-wheels of Justice) Peterbilt also has their equivalent model. In effect - those 'SUVs' are already being built.

(I'm not going to tell you who I work for - but http://www.paccar.com is a really neat website if you like that sort of thing...)

TColgrove: I still prefer the W900 studio's. However, I would gladly take a T2000 if someone were to give me one! But, as for BUYING one, W900 studio's get my money! After Kenworth, I would check out some Freightliners. Pete's would be my last choice. Plus, all of these "Super-SUV's" cost a lot less than the one's on the link that started this thread! Good laugh though...

That's too broad a question for me to give you an answer. Every truck that Peterbilt and Kenworth build (with the exception of some of the fleet-sales) are made to order. There are so many choices that must be made, which engine, which transmission, what type of suspension and differential. What style of body and how is the interior equipped all figure into the cost of the truck. Do you want polished rims, fuel tanks and exhaust stack(s)....

They are a lot of money - but they are worth every penny spent. (am I sounding a little biased?)

Here's a little 'extra' picture for ya... It's the current land-speed record holder for class VIII trucks - 162.579mph!

What are the prices of those things on the website for Peterbuilts and Kenworths? Couldn't help but wonder.

Holy corumba

I actually sat here laughing a while with my cubie partner. I ran across Indiana on Rte 80 once at 100 MPH next to an 18 wheeler. We talked the whole way on the CB. He said the fastest he ever ran was 120 or so. He lost me when I had to get gas. And he was carrying a load to Salt Lake City. His name was Blue Thunder, real nice guy---Bob
