Hows does everyone customize their truck?
Do you guys like do the cut and paste with rims and tires? Come up with the appearance you want to give first then find everything to do it with? Look at other pictures of trucks? Only get stuff that fits you persona and your trucks persona?
I just have an idea in my mind on how I want my truck to look/sound/drive and then I go about trying to "make it happen"!! On my 97 flareside, I wanted it to look "plain", no decals, nothing to show what was under the hood. At least not until I wanted to stomp someone at the light. A V8 w/superchip and that 2 chambered flowmaster would diffinately let someone know you were there (and gone)!! Now with my new truck, I have added decals. New truck, new ideas!! Picture's not very clear in my mind yet, so I'm still working on my truck!!

I try to give it a clean, one-of-a kind look. I put all my decals under the hood. I hate having my truck look like everybody elses. I like it to stand out from other F-150's

I kinda have been going with the flow. When I ordered the truck I had no performance mods in mind, 6 months later I have what's listed below. For appearance, I planned on a bed cap. That has a lot of black trim, I've been going with that, when I have time, I will install my Street Flares stock black, and in the future will do something with the grille, probably black and/or chrome. My trucks are always one of a kind, some come close but never exact matches. If it wasn't for this site, I'd still be sitting at that last traffic light.

my first mod was supposed to be to get my truck lifted, but i guess i've gotten a little side tracked. it's kind of hard to save up for big things when a lot of little things keep coming along. now that i've had my truck for almost two years, i'm finally about to start working on the lifting part, or at least i was until i ordered a billet antenna and new shocks today.

I'm still working on "the look" I want my truck to have. Sometimes I see something on another truck that I like and sometimes I try to achieve a look I haven't seen anywhere else. Example: I was trying to find an aftermarket hood when I saw a picture of Mumbly's ride. The Cobra hood seems to be a pretty good match to the front air dam of the Lightning, so I went with that one. I didn't like the polished look of the billet grille on my truck so I had it powder coated black. I added a carbon fiber dash kit before I had seen one in person, and added aftermarket 17" wheels. I really don't like the looks of the 17s on the truck so I am going to sell them and go with 20s. Sometimes things just don't look like you had imagined and it can cost a lot of money to correct.
Anyway, it is a work in progress and as everyone probably knows, its really hard to say "that's enough".

I have an idea of what I want in my mind. But I have gotten alot of ideas off what other guys here have done. I have gotten sidetracked on my audio system so that the performance side has been left behind, at least for the present.

I have yet to see a F150 with the Oxford white, and Wedwood Blue two tone, but still couldn't leave my truck alone.
Look in my profile to see my mods. I also have a Alpine stereo that is not listed.
Hey Sixpipes what kind of grill is that it looks awsome, and I would love to get one like it but powdercoated wedwood Blue.

so does everyone go through the love/hate relationships with their trucks to. One day I hate something about it the next day I like it. Like the bed styleside and flareside, on any given day I like one more then the other.
sixpipes- I think your truck looks fine with the 17 inch rims, personally anything over 18 inch I think is to much rim though.
