Tax dollars should be used to pave the roads and pay for military protection. Everything else is pretty much a burden on Americans. As long as we only have a 2-party system, things will only get worse. Now our national debt has been doubled (18 trillion) in less than a year. Not sustainable, it matters not what one's politics are.

I understand that the two party system allows our elected officials to take advantage of us. There is no accountability. What can we do though? Sit on our hands some more? If we can get more viable parties, I'd guess it'll take some time. In this information age we have a greater ability to put our politicians feet to the fire. There aren't enough people paying attention though. We're at a time that could get more people paying attention. That is if this "stimulus package" is killed.

I agree with Tumba. The link in Frank S sig is a good one for everyone to see. Ten minutes of your time. It's worth it.

Like Schiff said, the medicine may taste bad but we've got to take it if we are to get better. It's time to take our medicine, not try to cure the symptoms.

Schiff has some funny analogies in some other videos.

The 2-party system has kept this country divided on other things while pilfering this country with their projects and inflationary monetary policies. Bankers are the only ones benefiting by the TARP and other rediculous bailouts.

Welfare needs to be abolished. I have no problem with the taxpayer taking care of someone that is not able to work, physically or mentally. But leaches that are unwilling to work do not deserve to eat. 100 years ago no one would tolerate someone that is living off of other people's money.
