Angry Price of "stuff" in Canada

I would like to do some upgrading to my F150, like superchip, K&N, maybe exhaust.
Prices here on Vancouver Isl. B.C. seem outrageous. I know the canuckbuck is in the dumper, but $85.00 C for a K&N filter seems like hiway robbery.
Anyone out there got any suggestions as to a resonable priced parts supply on this side of the boarder, or do I have to wait till vacation & get the stuff stateside???

Thanks

I'm not sure what the CAN dollar is worth nowadays, but that filter is $50.00 Amer. just about any where you go.

Visit someone in the States (we live near Ottawa and visit my folks in Florida). Before you go, order your stuff for delivery State-side and install it down there - tires are a good item, for example. But figure the bucks. Convert. Then do what I do. Say to hell with it and go for it, here or there. 'Tis the price of pleasure!

1998 XL SC short-box 4.2 5-speed 3.55LS, Pacific Green, A/C, factory box liner, factory dark tinted rear glass (like the XLT), cassette, carpet, Canadian XLS package (split bench, chrome wheels, side mouldings, box light, tailgate lock), sill guards, Windstar (driver's) wiper blade (the one with the air scoop). Oh ya: snazzy Tweetie Bird floor mats.

New 2000 F-150 on order Sept. 2 - sure hope they don't go on strike up here in Canada! Same mechanically as the current one except black, XLT, CD and side steps. Great trucks!

Cool

HI!... ROADRUNNER don't feel bad, I live in WINDSOR ONTARIO CANADA and I paid $115.00(CAN) for my K/N filter. But mine is also twice the size of the ones that come in all those kits you see. It measures about 15" long by 6" in diameter and slopes down to 4.5".

I paid about $70 for my K&N over here in Calgary, Alberta. You guys here of Mopac Performance Center? I get some pretty good deals from them. They have a funny car that does the canadian drag racing circuit.

If you were going to be embarassed, then why did you let me see it? I'm almost sure you were smiling when I was looking at it. Damn! why didn't I take a pic. I got one of Joe Mama's, but his isn't as big. Impressive though.

I forgot to add that I am from Windsor also, but moved to Ohio 12+ years ago. When I visit the parental units, I hardly ever buy things up there, the tax + GST KILLS ya. Although sometimes with the exchange rate you do pretty good...like ordering flowers for Mother's Day, almost like getting 40% off total purchase, so Mom gets a HUGE arrangement!

Even my parents go hog wild down here when visiting hitting every strip and outlet mall between Ohio and the MI border...

If a tank of gas ($32.00 amer.) is about $80.00 Can., how much is a avg. F150 over there? $23,000 Amer. = ? Can.
