Post Going down??

Don't know if the rest of the country or even the state of Florida is experiencing this or not but thought it might be a good sign about the rising prices of fuel. This past couple of days the price of fuel has dropped from $1.52 to $1.47.I realize this isn't much, but maybe its a start of things to come....

Talking

Last year when a barrel of oil was at $14 we were paying $1.35.. Now oil is at $28 a barrel and we pay 1.59 a gallon. Seems to me they were banging us harder last year. It is an endless battle. What ever happened to Kuwait (sp?). Didnt we save their entire country, and didnt they say something about a cheap or free oil deal. Hmmmmmmmmmmm.

Senator: environmental treaty would raise gas prices to $2
United Press International - March 30, 2000 12:36

By HIL ANDERSON

LOS ANGELES, March 30 (UPI) -- As oil prices continued to level off in the wake of this week's OPEC production agreement, a key U.S. senator fired the latest broadside at the controversial Kyoto Accords, which aimed to reduce emission greenhouse gases.

Sen. Frank Murkowski, R-Alaska, chairman of the Senate Energy Committee, said at a Capitol Hill hearing Thursday that the cost of complying with the Kyoto guidelines in the United States would increase gasoline prices by 53 percent.

Following the guidelines "would bring permanent $2-per-gallon gasoline to American consumers," Murkowski said during a hearing on a pair of bills dealing with energy and climate policy.

Gasoline already is pushing $2 a gallon in the high-priced California market, although gasoline and diesel prices nationwide appear to be stabilizing and even retreating a few cents from earlier this month.

Well, the price of fuel has "finally" pushed me into using the ol credit card. I ALWAYS pay in cash but with these outragiouse prices, and two kids that think they need BurgerKing, who can keep enough cash in their pocket to pay for fuel too??? Diesel has not come down, but around here, it's at least not as much as Premium.
