Show me a thread where any Republican here dare say something bad about Bush, and I don't mean, "gosh, he's too liberal for me", something a little more specific would be nice.

You certainly have selective memory if you think every conservative on this site has sung the praises of Bush without falter. His immigration policies alone have been a huge source of bitching here. Allowing some of Clinton's policies to carry over, in regards to the banking industry, have proven to be a huge economic problem, as well. And yes, his kissing liberal butt to get what he needed to fight a war has been a large part of his domestic failure. (The guy lost his veto pen for 6 years for Christ's sake.) How many pork heavy budgets and bills crossed his desk in those years?

How much of his failure can be firmly laid at the feet of 8 years of constant attacks on his intelligence and policies from the left. A country divided is not going to be prosperous. I saw a video the other day, with lots of celebrities preaching about standing behind Lord Obama to make it possible to heal this land... Where were these Renaissance Fair hippie liberal jackasses when it was being torn apart by liberal rhetoric, lies, and propaganda? Throwing coal on the fire. That's where.

I have no problem with Obama personally. I know this country will survive him, even if he turns out to be a worse president than Jimmy Carter. I hope he is a good enough president that I want to vote for him myself in 4 years. (That's what we need.) But, I'll not turn a blind eye because some liberal puke chastises me for not being supportive. Not after the last 8 years. Sometimes I wish I was stupid enough to fall for the BS, or apathetic enough to ignore it all and put my head in the sand, or gird my blinders. They say ignorance is bliss. I could use a little bliss.

My point exactly. Yet your lord obama says he is going to cut the taxes of people who don't even pay them! Get it? It is called welfare. But your lord calls it a tax cut.

I never said everyone sung his praises. I must have missed the conservatives bashing Bush thread.

Well the point it, when I told her the total, she pulls out foodstamps and asks if we accept them. I thought it was a joke and told her no. Then she proceeds to pull out a HUGE wad of bills and hands me a $50. Sure enough, when she drove away, she had every Obama sticker on her back window. Things like that disgust me
She was just giving free advertising to one of the biggest flim flam salesmen who has ever walked the face of this earth. I would be embarrassed to think that those people were the ones who made me president.... yet that is exactly what happened. Wait til the working people who voted for his "Change" find out that's all they have left to pay their bills when his "wealth redistribution plan" is in full swing.

Chris--- a question for ya---you are chuckling and chortling about Obama and how he will bring this country to ruination...OK, seeing how conservative you are---and saying that Bush is not conservative enough for ya---and seeing how "Tail Gunner Joe" McCarthy is dead---which politician is conservative enough to meet even your far-right thinking? Who would you have liked to see run against Obama, or down the road in the next election?

Yes, but at least we know his spirit lives on...

Seriously---I would like Chris to tell me who he would offer as a viable candidate for the POTUS.

I know you're not asking me. There is one I thought was a bad choice, but looking back I wish I had given his some support. That would be Mike Huckabee.
But he, at the time seemed a little to conservative to me. Looking back he did have some more liberal views. I think maybe he had a balance we need right now. But he had no foreign affairs experience at all. That kinda hurt him in the opinion I had at the time. He may have been a good choice. He even left our small state with a surplus, during hard times.
I'll support Obama for now, I'm waiting to see what his next move will be.

I agree with you on this one. Huckabee would have been a good choice. He was labeled as a raving religious nut but having seen him in action as Governor I must disagree.

I did forget to mention, I really didn't think a Baptist Minister was a good choice either. He may have been the exception.

Uh, why don't you ask Obama? He's the retard that made the claim. Good one buddy, way to make a complete fool of yourself and bolster the counter argument in one fell swoop!

I've been a Huckabee fan since day one. I hope we see him running again.

Sarah Palin comes to mind. Huckabee would have been better than obama.. but he is far from perfect. Bobby Jindal is an up and comer. I think he would be great.
