Talking first impressions

Well, I've been living with my truck for almost a week now (2000 F150 4x2 SC XL 4.6L 5spd) and still can't get this smile off my face. The engine is incredible, I can do all my driving, up to the highway, with just a half-inch of throttle. I'm amazed at how quiet the truck is, until you really use the accelerator and make her roar. The 5 spd shifts great, makes a neat snick-snick into gear, and is smooth. Engine and trans seem to be happier when I let 'em run, guess I'm just babying the new girl.

Nice to see the 4.6 has the coil-on-plug, same as the 5.4's. Interior finish is great, and that vinyl floor should be easy to hose out. Only gripe is the bed alignment is off maybe a 1/4 inch, its flush w/ the drivers side but is behind the passenger SC door just a hair (maybe the door isn't tightened up?). I know, give me a break, only a really retentive person would notice these things, but hey, that is the only fault I can find. I'll have to loosen the bed and tap it over and retighten the bolts if I can't sleep at night. ;-)
Didn't think you could get this much vehicle for the money. No wonder these things sell. Love this board!

Andthensometoo,

When do you guys run? I'm right up in A2. Haven't ever been to the strip in Milan. I'd bring her on down and watch you guys run. You've got to see this deep wedgewood blue, its just gorgeous.
