Actually, hail as big as softballs - over 3 inches in diameter.

Lots of broken glass downtown and buildings gone. My dealer's body shop was right in the middle (it is apparently gone now). As of this morning, 4 dead and many injured.

We were actually luck that it did not happen a couple of hours earlier.

Yup...I lived through it. Was in class at the time. Downtown Fort Worth is a disaster area though. No dents on the truck!!

I was just getting ready to post a topic about the tornado, but here it is. I was just checking if the Fort Worth guys were ok, considering that you and everyone else south/south east of Dallas took the biggest hit. For those of you who haven't heard, a major storm swept through the D/FW area last night. Fort Worth and the surrounding communities to the west and south were the hardest hit. Fort Worth fire dept. are reporting that 2 tornados actually touched down in downtown and a third in the Arlington/ Riveroaks area(hope Mudder is ok). Dallas was only hit by very haevy rain and storng winds. There were reports of softball, baseball, golfball, and peasized hail to the communites closest to Fort Worth and south of Dallas. I live in Garland and all we got was buckets of rain and some flash flooding. Glad I was inside and under cover.

Hey guys, appreciate your concern, but Mudder is ok, and so is Daylighter. Yeah, the major part of it stayed just south of me. It road straight along I30, and I live about 1/2 mile North of I30, 3 miles North west of the Ballpark In Arlington. A tornado touched down just 2 miles from me, and we got marble size hail. But thank goodness for a covered awning. I'm just so glad I wasn't anywhere around Down Town Fort Worth, it was crazy. I go to school at Texas Wesleyan right off of Beach Street, and I could see the buildings in Down Town, lots of windows were gone. Any way, I'm ok, hope all the other members in that area are ok too. I was in Dallas yesterday at 5:00. My mom called and said that I better get home, all she had to say was that there is hail in the storm and I hauled butt home as fast as I could, 5:00 traffic or not. I made it home just in time.

Thumbs up

No problems up in North Dallas. Glad everyone is ok. I was talking to Mudder on the phone when the hail hit. Boy it sounded terrible.

Please don't send your tornado's and hail up north to Kansas. We to are prone for Large Tornado's. And after last year's baseball storm, I decided that Kansas sucks!
