J-C I really can't tell you that.I was wondering that myself.

MRBBQMAN: That was a conceptcar from Germany, and I know there are a lot of Americans there.Maybe the designers of Rinspeed were affected by them.

oohh, ooh, I know what the thing in the back is. It's a little one person underwater submersible, scuba, minisubmarine deal. In the picture from the back you can see how it works. You sit on it like a motorcycle & put your head up into the little bubble. So you can go diving without having to have a regulator & mask & all that stuff.

The truck is pretty cool too. =]

You're close, quzax!

It's so your spotter doesn't drown on those really deep creek crossings.

If you took that space bubble/diving bell/tow truck thing out of the back, that would be a pretty good looking truck! Early '50's custom look. Without having to worry about 5 mph bumpers, those stylists have a lot of freedom.

I think there's a FLIR (Forward looking infra-red) turret on top. Some helicopters and cop cars have them.

Before you answer, realize that it's a Chevy in disguise! I don't care how many body panels you add, a Chevy is a Chevy.

I still like it. I'd take that thing out of the back and remove about 90% of the roll bar . Maybe also take off that silver trim on the door.

>>>>Actually it's a futuristic high tech mini scooter/moped with it's own permanent helmet. Well it does look like some kind of scooter, see the hand throttle/brake control. Or it could be a new fangled remote driver station for those days you want to hang out in the bed of the truck and you don't have someone to drive you around.
