Gas Out?
Here's something I read over on the Sounddomain message board
This can be found at: http://www.sounddomain.com/ubb/Forum12/HTML/000303.html
Has anyone else heard about this?
i know people are as pissed off as i am about the gas prices, so i got a email from my aunt and about 6 other people about a gas out. it worked last year when the prices where high, and for one day no one bought gas, alot of people took part in it and the gas companies lost millions. now it's a three day thing and i don't care who you are all i ask you is to NOT buy gas on the days of April 7 through April 9. Please everyone, if you want the prices to go down par take in this. we'll show those fools who the bitch is.
Has anyone else heard about this?
Yes, its BS. This did not cause the gas prices to go down last year...in fact the gas prices didn't go down after the gas out in Pa.

The gasoline companies know that we will buy the gas that we need, regardless. The only thing this will result in is the mass-purchase of gas on April 6th and 10th. The overall sale for April most likely will not be affected. If it were a fact that everyone will participate in this, the gas companies would benefit by closing all stations for 3 days, saving huge operating costs. Just my two Abe Lincolns.............

Yea, people will fill the day before or after and it will all even out. What they need to do is have a walk to work or share a ride day. Consumption needs to drop for there to be any effect. I'm going to drive my car on those days (double the milage of my truck).
