Thumbs up In the groove

It was one of those perfect rides in this morning.
Nice cool morning. Clean, dry roads. Truck is running great.
Radio is playing some good tunes.
Caught a nice groove in between groups of traffic.
Rolled through almost all of the traffic lights on green, at the speed limit.
Made great time. No goofballs getting in the way.
Being a "cager" and a motorcycle enthusiast,
I call that "Asphalt Surfin'".
Do you people know what I mean?
Yep, some days life is good!

I hate you. It's been 10 weeks of snow, ice and sub zero temps and I need to get my groove back before I smash the cage into someone.

That sucks man, I think we're supposed to be near 60 degrees tomorrow.

My Aunt and Uncle are still up there, in West Bloomfield (I think). They said the snow drifts and piles are huge this year!

I know the feeling, I leave the house at 5:30 AM and get to work about 6:30. The ride this morning was great 35 degrees and clear with my Flow 40 singing a tune accompanied by my BFG's crusin' at about 65mph.

I would take 35 degrees at anytime during the day compared to the single digit and below zero temps we have had lately.

I know what you are talking about---no time for that here, now---some piles of snow are so tall that you have to be carefull driving as you cannot see what is behind them...the parking lot at the local mall looks like either the Andes or the Alps...cannot wait for May and June when the weather is really nice here in Cleveland. Heat wave tomorrow---40*!

Here's what caused the NC Governor to declare a State of Emergency earlier this week...

Of course, 3 days later 99% of all that had melted away.

Here it's a State Holiday to get 4 to 6 inches of snow. Then it's always gone within three or four days I can't remember how long it's been that we had over 2 to 3 inches.
I can't imagine dealing with that crap for months.
I bought a sled years ago so when it snowed the kids would have one. I think it has dry rotted now, and the kids are grown.

edit 70 is the forcast today, cooling to the 40s by tommorow.

I had a rough commute this morning.
Just glad I had the good fortune to buy a coat the color of coffee.

Hell yeah! I was 1 of about 10 people that made it to work and we have about 50 people in our office. I actually had to go around a cop who was stopped at the top of a hill. I guess he was afraid to go down it since there was a curve near the bottom.

Everything shut down, all the schools, all the banks except for Bank of America (which made it 3 days in a row they were closed; Sunday, MLK Day then the snow day Tuesday), it was stupid.

Worse, instead of using salt, they spray a brine down on the road, then dump sand for "traction". So as everything gets slushy you still get salt all over your truck, then when it's all gone there's sand all over the road.
