Damnit Now they hating because of my color

Well I see that my headline got most of you to look at this topic....but what I am wanting to know is that I got some all blacked out taillights for my 2004 F-150 from another member on here, and well I installed them, and you can barely see my brake lights, little lone my lights when they are on, The other night I was driving it and had some guy at a stop light tell me that my taillights where out, however he just could not see them. I have ordered some 36 LEDs for them, will that help? Also should I do anything else to make them more noticeable, I am really hoping that the LED bulbs do the trick. Anyone with or had this problem, give up your suggestions please, thanks....

Here is a pic of my truck with the taillights. I think they look really good, just need to put in those LED lights and hopefully that will fix the problem, so what do you guys think,,,will it help?

Ya know, they may look great (which they do), but the general idea of a brake light is to let people behind you know that you are slowing down or stopping. If they aren't doing that, if I was behind you, I would be a little PO'd, too, especially if I almost rear-ended ya.

Think about it...just looking good or looking good and working good are two different things.

I like those black tail light covers... but yeah, I wouldn't want to be in a mess if I got rear ended.

Then again, I know of people that go rear ended while driving their stick vehicle by down shifting. So.. eh.. it's difficult.

But, it sure looks nice on those black trucks.

Add a line of fire? and maybe some LED stop lights in your rear window.

I got my tailights blacked out. They are not as black as yours because in the day i can still see red. I didnt want to go to dark because it would be a problem to pass inspection plus the fact of people not being able to see you. Looks good!

plus: I blacked out the third brake light all the way. It was a major difference. I love it.

I REALLY dig the look of those taillights, but will your insurance company cover you in the event you are rear-ended when the guy behind you says, "I couldn't see his brake lights!"? As much as I paid for my truck, I'd definitely be askin' GEICO what the rule was because I'd be P.O.'d if they didn't cover me in the unfortunate event I was in an accident.

Throw a line of fire on there and you should be good.
