Crappy Day

Well what a wonderful day it has been for me. I was just transferred back into my home plant after being gone for 50 days. When I walk in I am informed that I am being moved out of my office into another one. So now I have to moved tons of files and mfg. manuals down a flight of stairs.

Now I get home and call the sheriff's office to try and get a vehicle inspection for my Chevy Blazer. Nope, because it is MLK day they aren't open. So that delays me getting my truck on the road for another day.

And while I was out snooping around, I check on my propane tank. Guess what, it was on empty. I now had to pay $560 bucks to have it refilled. Luckily we have heat right now so we must be on fumes. I wonder if the pregnant wife has been running the heat really warm while I have been out of town. Sheeze. So I hope it gets refilled by the time the heat goes out b/c I had to go through a similar thing last year for a week with no heat. That sucks in February and it is going to be worse since it is January.

I was attempting to try and get ahead this month with bills, but NOOOOOO. It's not going to happen.

I will gladly trade your problems for mine. Everyone has rough times in their life. I assure there is someone out there right now with problems ten fold worse than yours, one of those people being me. And I know there are people worse off than I am. I'm not a holy roller by any means, but I do believe god will throw nothing your way that your not able to handle. Everything will work out, just take one day at a time.

Oh believe me it has been far worse for me. Luckily I was allowed to have per diem and travel mileage. That payed for an engine to be put in my Blazer. And I still have another check coming for more.

It just hurt the bank that's all. I was just happy that I checked and caught it.

That reminds me I have to check my heating oil tank...down to 80 gallons. I'll be filling up with liquid gold in the next week or two.

Um... No, she wasnt. Do you remember that scene from father of the Bride part II? They are fanning themselves on the couch and Steve martin walks in with a fur coat? I kid you not, while my wife was pregnant, We'd be watching TV, I'd have long pants, a long sleeve shirt, socks, and a blanket and be on the edge of shivering while my wife was sweating at the same time. Sorry your having a hard time, Blame it on Obama. Just look forward to your little one. Mine was born in Sept. and I still dont have the final hospital bill, if that helps any.

X2.

FWIW, my dad died last week, after 7 days in a coma following a surprise cardiac arrest. His last 12 hours on earth he was under-medicated by an uncaring Doctor who would not increase his morphine so he could be peaceful. He died a horrible, horrible death before my eyes, while my mom, his wife of 49 years, cried on my shoulder after we pulled an all-nighter at his deathbed, fighting unsuccessfully through the night with his nurses and doctors to help him be comfortable.

We buried dad last Wednesday.

Sorry for your loss. Sometimes Dr's will not look at things in the proper perspective. They just get to shallow, an in compassionate.

All the other doctor's told us he would be comfortable. But since he was admitted as a cardiac patient, the ****-head cardioligist trumped all the other doctors, and he would not allow more than a very moderate dose of morphine.

So my dad's biggest fear came true, and he had to go in a way that was completely against his and our wishes. It was a complete surprise to have it end that way, because we thought we had taken care of all that over the previous week he was in the deep coma.

The details make for a long story which I won't delve into here, but god damn, it sucked to go through.

I watched my brother die of cancer, his Dr. was also a friend. He was very considerate of our wishes. he didn't let my Brother endure anymore stress than he already had, it was a sad lengthy battle
