Any of you guys this nice???

Going back to the womans house the other night, I took a different road for some odd reason. Something reminded me days ago of a Scion that went off into the ditch and an old couple stuck in there car. I tried to pull them out but the county cop said to just go home and a tow truck was on its way. Well sure enough I turn down this road and there is a minivan almost on its side. Astrovan to be exact. The high snow drifts mae the ditch look even with the road so many people go off this road and end up sideways.

The guy couldnt speak a lick of english. Anyway, I threw out my tow strap, hooked it around the front end of the van, told him N N N Nuetral. 4LO, reverse, tug tug and I draggged the van out of the ditch. Got out, got my strap, he was saying thank you I believe and offered me money. I refused and said have a good night.

Only took me 4-5 minutes tops ot get this van out. But in the winter time, anybody I see stuck I generally stop and see if they have a clean pull point and try and help them. . .

Yep. Done that more times then I can count.

Your title seems kind of provoking. Looking for a sheet fest?

I may be mean, and I won't argue the old, but I'm not bitter!

I have pretty much the exact same policy. As long as I'm not putting myself in danger, I'll stop to help just about anybody. 2 weeks ago we had a pretty bad storm blow in on a Friday afternoon. (A bit over a foot in 8 hours.) On my way to my second job repairing plowing equipment with my son, we stopped to pull 8 vehicles out of snowbanks. Anybody who offered us money got the same line; "I never ask for money from people who need help. I only hope someday you'll help somebody in need too."
