Cool Most stolen?

I just saw on the news the top 10 most stolen vehicles in the U.S.A.

1997 F-150 2x4 is in fifth place.

So - watch yours.

Talking

My neighbors didn't like me putting up my mailbox with a 4x4 but, I can drive my mail to the post office and they can't.

Unhappy

2 x 4 or 4 x 2? Ok I get the point. It's 4 x 2. Anyway watch out or your 4 x 2 might turn up missing. Why no silverados?

insect2, just to complete this block of instruction:

A 2x1 is a motorcycle.

A 1x2 is a Chevy owner and his wife pushing home a Silverado with three flat tires.

Thumbs down

Yep, my 97 almost was in that statistic!! It was about 15seconds from being gone when I got to it. Thank the stars that my 6'4" husband was with me. Forget alarms, or the club or even that that system that connects to a satilite. If they want it, they can usually steal it before you even know it.

why would it specifically be 4x2 & not 4x4?
are 4x4 harder to steal? I would think they would be in higher demand since they sell for more.

And it had the '97s in particular. I guess if you have any other year you're safe, right? I noticed various years of the Toyota Camry took the previous four spots and my neighbor has one of those, so I feel safe.

Well that may be a good way to handle the door crack problem. If it gets stolen, new truck, no door crack he he he. kill switch is probably the best defence, and gap insurance doesn't hert eather.

It's the most stolen due to the sheer # of them out there.
As a percentage of all the F150s very few percent are stolen.

One way to prevent it from getting stolen.
Take off the XLT badge or Lariat Paint!
And remove the triton V8 badge!
