Hi Everyone,
I wanted to post this e-mail I received a little while ago. It's about a little girl named Amanda Bundy who's 6-yrs old and lives in Greensburg Pennsyvania.
A few weeks ago her mother was giving her a hug and felt a lump on her back. X-rays showed it to be some sort of growth and later tests revealed that it was a massive malignant tumor that has spread to all parts of her chest and abdomen. There are no organs that aren't untouched and she has more tumors in her body than she has organs. Amanda's hospitalized after a biopsy of the tumor and her parents are waiting for the results of bone marrow tests. If her bone marrow is clean, they will have a chance to save her with chemotherapy. If they find cancerous cells in her bone marrow, the only hope to save her life will be a miracle.
She's in no pain yet and appears to be perfectly fine and healthy.... beautiful red-haired little girl. She doesn't even know she's sick yet, nor does she understand why she has to go to the doctors so often, if she's not sick. She is the first born of this family. It was a reaching out to give a prayer for her well being and I couldn't think of a better place to take this request.... than in here. I have received such a great feeling in this site and friendly people here. So as I prayed for this little girl, I hope that the members in such a great site pray also, in your own ways.

As much as I hate to walk on someones compassion for another human being I despise scammers who start these fraudulent letters even more(this by no means is about you Lariat, yours is the compassion for others). This one sounded too close to an urban legend so that's why I checked.

Ya know, praying doesn't cost you anything. Feeling compassion doesn't either. Lariat's being a caring human being. Glad you're here and don't be embarassed for showing the rest of us how good a person you are. Amanda might not be a real child, but know that there are thousands, if not millions, of children suffering who do need our prayers and good thoughts.

Thanks for the heads up 4D THNDR. You're right, I am a caring person and feel that I was the brunt of someone's sick joke. I apologize to all of you if this is one. My intentions were good and by no means would I have brought this story to F-150 Online if I knew it was a hoax. I guess there are some people in this world that get a rush out of pulling a stunt like this. I just want to say, as Dennis stated.... there are thousands if not millions of children that need our prayers. So with that in mind, I will not let this get the best of me. Thanks to all for understanding that my intentions were good.

There was never a doubt your intentions were good. The trouble with these are the people with the warped sense of humor that start them and regardless of what a lot of people think there are a ton of kind, caring people who pass them on hoping to help. Never a need to apologize for trying to help someone. It is I who apologize for stepping on your outreach.
