Hey everyone. Unfortunately I haven't found my precise F150 yet but I still have my ranger which was the first vehicle I bought when I was 17. I love ford trucks and making them not stock! I'm active on quite a few ranger message boards and found my way over here since I'm in the market for a F150. Here's a few of my ranger:

So I came here to hopefully get some advice on purchasing a 04+ F150, ext cab or quad cab, 5.4L, 4x4. Then after that's outta the way I can't wait to start modding it. I feel like I'm too picky about it, seen a few that I liked but it seems like there's always one thing about it that I don't care for. I'd rather wait around for the right one for me then jumping the gun about it tho. Just moved into the NY region about 4 months ago after living in Pittsburgh up till I started my new job as a mechanical designer. Take care and hope no one minds that I don't own a F150!.... yet

haha get off this site before you get your f150 or your wallet is gonna hate you lol. Trust me i only wanted a bed cover and tints for my truck. Found this site and $3k later im no where near done modding it. Welcome to the boards man thats a sweet looking ranger you got there.

 

Welcome aboard. I'm in NYC. I take it that your looking for a Super Cab or Super Crew not quad cab. I'm not picking on you or anything, I just want you to talk f150 lingo b4 you make that big purchase. By the way the ranger looks nice.

Welcome! I was in the same situation until about 3 weeks. ago. I had been lurking around here for a while getting some info on the F150, but I had to wait to graduate school to start my job as a mechanical cadd drafter. My other truck is a little opposite though. I have a 97 ranger ext. cab lowered with air bags. Now I have an 04 F150 scab 4x4, you will be very happy when you find the one you want.

 

I love what you did with the Ranger -- it looks awesome!

I also have a '97 Ranger that I use as my daily driver, which helps keep the miles off my beloved F-150 and Mustang! There are lots of Rangers around this board, so there's no need to apologize for not having an F-150 yet!

LOL after playing with my ranger for the last few years I've made peace with the fact that I'd rather spend more money on modding my truck than silly things like furniture or clothes n crap like that!

My bad, it doesn't matter what they call it but when I see it I'll know if it's the one I'm thinkin of haha!

Oh that's sweet, I work in Niskayuna/Schenectady area and live in Ballston Lake. Seems like there is alot less lifted/lowered/modified trucks out here than when I lived in Pittsburgh, but I'm workin on that stimulus package!


Thanks everyone, after perusing thru the boards I see there's tons of awesome lookin trucks here. Does anyone know what colors of blue were offered in the 04+ trucks? I've seen the darker navy blue but was curious if there was a brighter blue. I sorta have a thing for blue
