Free Credit Monitoring from AAA
I have just found out that members of AAA (Auto Club) can receive free credit monitoring.
AAA will give the member a free Experian credit report and notify the member by e-mail of any changes on the credit report. AAA claims they check daily.
To sign up, AAA members can go to www.aaa.com/creditmonitoring.
Anyone can get up to 3 free credit reports per year from www.annualcreditreport.com. This includes 1 Experian, 1 Transunion, and 1 Equifax per year. THis website was set-up at the direction of the Federal Trade Commission. The 3 reports are free. Credit scores are offered for a fee.
I have not yet signed up for AAA Credit monitoring. I will probably do this tonight. I have used www.annualcreditreport.com several times. So far, no complaints.
