Post 50th Anniversary F-150?

What the heck is it? I am going to test drive it before class tommorrow. It is a 98 Supercab shortbed 4x4 Lariat w/5.4L etc. It also says 50th ann. on the seat backs about where the headrest is. It is all Red, the grille etc is red. Has 39k and the dealer wants 24k, which is a bit more than I want to pay for a truck that has 39k on it. It is in good shape. Also has a gooseneck ball in the bed. Although I wouldn't want to pull any of ours with a 1/2ton truck...

Wink

Heres my .02: What is it, GOLD PLATED or something?
I have the 98 with a 50 yr sticker on it, but no fancy seats and I paid less than $24,000 NEW!!!

btw The ball in the bed indicates it was used for towing, so they can't get away with the "lil ol lady drove it to church" thing. You better check out some pricing guides first.

Couldn't find the right Polished steel design, so once I modify the powercoated ones I just bought, I will paint them.

Q: who wants my "Pocket Mount" chrome ones? Price:cost of shipping, or gas and maybe lunch if you live in S/E MI.

Pastmaster, I drove one when they were new. It also had two tone wheels with gold, and signal mirrors. It was selling for 31K. Real pretty truck...probably worth the money. I wish I had seen the truck you're looking at, before I bought mine used.

manx, he's talking about a 50th anniversary PACKAGE, including monogramed leather seats and special wheels. What you said is like saying all 4X4s are "ORP"

IT is gold plated(sort of) and it did have the ORP.

ATST: We have a gooseneck trailer in several of our trucks. All 3/4ton+. I am scared of this truck. Drove it, tranny shifted really hard. I know I won't be getting this one! I'll keep looking.

It did have the 2-tone wheels. But I didn't notice the mirrors. I guess you can't see them from inside the cab?

The scoop on my 50th Anniversary 98 F150. Along with decals on the fenders, and the name pressed into the leather seat backs, there are 17" two-tone aluminum rims and wider (60's) tires. Pretty much the STX package, minus the decals. Ford also sent me a 3' x 4' 50th Ann. rug. All 98's do have window decals, I'm told, but these (my truck) are limited edition and, who knows, worth more someday. They came in black, white and red. Would really like to know how many were made. I live in an average size town and have only seen two others. At the time, the Lightning was out of production and i was almost ready to switch to a T/A, Z28, or something. This truck caught my eye.
