Question Have You completed the F150online survey?

https://www.f150online.com/survey/results.html
Interesting that less than 5% own a superchip.
I thought it was a lot more than that.

Question

No, as a rule of thumb I don't do surveys.
They are well known for generating a lot of junk postal mail and spam. If the info stays with this website then no problem. The uncertainty keeps me away. I don't like my name being sold.

Redwing, this is one website that you won't have to worry about "selling/giving away" your personal info. Steve E. the webmaster would never do that.

Red face

SS97Ford,

I ordered my truck in Oct.'99. Took delivery in late Nov. about a week later I get an e-mail from guy in Illinois. He wanted to know if my truck had the ORP and if I would sell the wheels!!! I was so pissed it took me two days to calm down enough to reply. I wish he was at my door asking for pieces of my new truck because I would of gladly given him my tire iron repeatedly.
I did not(and I doubt anybody here) spend $30k on a truck to open a salvage yard. Isn't the whole purpose for ordering a truck to get exactly what YOU want. Not to sell off pieces at 20 cents on the dollar! Anyway sorry to ramble but just talking about this still pisses me off. This scavenger said he got my e-mail from f150online. I don't know if it is true or not but that is why I'm a little gun shy of the survey. If this is even possible I don't know. I haven't noticed his name on any postings here. After being a member for a while I can tell this site contains more class per member than most have as a group.
So having said all that I'm going to the survey now.

I have not and will NEVER sell the email address of anyone that uses this site, as I am totally opposed to spammers.

For that very reason in fact, despite many requests, I continue to block your email address from being viewed in these message boards.

If, however, you ever posted your email address in a message (which I discourage) or in a message on the mailing list, it is possible that is was harvested by some type of email picker. But, again, rest assured that I did not give it to anyone (and I am the only one with access to this information).

Redwing,

How much do you want for your wheels? I heard you were parting out your rig. Sorry couldn't resist. Actually I could but I really am a Sh*t. What I realy whant to know is what wire did you cut/splice to correct the fog lights? I would be interested in doing the same thing.

Kindest regards

Thumbs up

Steve (webmaster),
Thanks for protecting our privacy. I didn't think this was possible. but when it comes to 'puter know how, Well um.. I'm from the shallow end of the gene pool.

JMC,
Yes you are a sh**. I'm just sorry I don't have Mr. Scavenger's e-mail any more. I'd love to post it for all your spamming pleasures. If I can find it , it just may show up...

As for the fog light job. Let me do some research and I'll post what I did.(Can't remember wire color and relay #) I can tell you when done the way I did it. You have an out of sight toggle switch, that when activated it lights the "stock" indicator light at the headlight switch.

A MUCH calmer,

JMC,

How to rewire fog lights would fit under 54RegCab's proposed electrical topic a little better than under survey but here goes;

I spliced 12v keyed power from under dash fuse box. Installed a toggle switch in a metal flange under dash,(right next to fuse box on 2000 model). With inline fuse (5 amp I think only used to close a relay) connect in and out of switch then thru the fire wall to under hood fuse box. The stock switch uses relay # 206. I pulled the relay out to test the inputs. The wire you want is yellow. This is the power coming from headlight switch to close fog light relay. So bare this wire and splice your new 12v feed to the yellow wire going to relay #206. This gives you the option to run fog lights any time the key is on. Also doesn't disable the stock pull on with low beam system. This will also light the OEM fog light indicator from either sorce of power. Hope this helps.
