So I just got offered a sponsorship from kicker which I obviously took. Getting a huge discount. I guess it's time to build a super nice system (in the new car of course).:rocker

Neat. Maybe you could include some details. Like, how you went about getting the sponsorship and what the stipulations are. Also, post up pics of the new car. I don't remember seeing them.

I haven't got the car yet. If these couple buyers don't come through within the next 2 weeks. The truck is getting parted out and I will sell it back to my buddy at the dealer for their used car lot.

I got the sponsorship through sponsorhouse. You go on there and make a profile and apply to different sponsors. It's very easy and if you make your profile look good it's a given. They are mainly like motocross oriented, but they have tons of other sports. All you have to do is make yourself look like a good figure for thier products.

 

that's great ! :-) Obviously Kicker feels that you will be a good represenative for the company.

I have several fishing sponsors, and it's really nice..... especially for a poor guy who doesn't work enough, and fishes too much ! :-)

BTW, now I don't remember which fighter it was, but last night during the UFC PPV, one of the fighters was wearing "Kicker" shorts and shirt.

Oh hey, do you have your own personal website ??? That is a great place to advertise for Kicker. And of course, the idea is, you want to help them as much as you possibly can, to keep that sponsorship long term ;-)

It's funny, when I first became sponsored, I used to feel like > "Wow ! These companies / people are really cool to just 'give' me this great fishing gear, for totally free" ! But the more I thought about it {although my sponsors really are nice guys} they aren't giving me free product to be nice. It's a business thing. The bet is, "We give this guy $X worth of product, and this brings us a return of $XX". Bottom line, it's business thing, and you need to make sure it's worth it for them to continue it.

Yeah but do you relize that car is 10x faster and better handling than my truck. Plus it fits in the parking gagrages in D.C which helps me make it to work to pay for the car.

Ive been trying to find a good sponsorship site. I have found a few, but none that are amazing. And I would rather not have to use a credit card to see if I can be sponsored.

Well the sponsorhouse one has a fre eembership also. You get like 4 free apps. or something like that. Then if you find you are getting good results just join it.
