Hard of soft tonneau cover? Im using soft. Any complaints, likes/dislikes between the two?

I like 'em hard! I heard a lot of bad stuff about the soft ones, though I've never experienced this for myself.

 

I had a soft on my Toyota truck and I currently have a hard on my F150. I prefer the hard, it keeps everything dry, looks great and doesn't sag when the snow starts falling.

Just push the pedal and the snow is gone!

 

I have never had a hard cover and this is my first soft cover. But I like the convience of the soft cover, If you are out and need to use the bed you just roll up the cover. Unlike a hard cover where you may need to take it home and reemove the cover and find a safe place to store it.

I love my Snuglid...Lotsa compliments and no trouble with it. Makes truck ride better on California freeways, too.

Future mods: 2/4 lowering, bra and some Roush stuff. Also want Gibson Supertruck

 

Currently have a soft cover and really appreciate the convenience of being able to haul larger items without having to remove the cover. The hard cover I had on the previous truck looked better and was a lot harder to break into.
My next cover will probably be a Pace-Edwards roll up type.

I have a hard one (signature) and I love it. I would like to have put a roll top on, but no one made it for the Flareside when I bought mine..

Have the soft tonneau from the factory. Like it a lot, but one thing. Still can't roll it up without help. Usually end up sliding the whole thing off instead of rolling it up and strapping it down.

As others have said, the soft cover is convenient when you have to haul something big in the back. Unfortunately, it's not as secure or theft resistant as a hard cover.

Definitely. I have a hard (lid) on right now, and am enjoying it........can't believe Raoul isn't here yet.
