Post Dual Fuel

Ford has an option for dual fuel vechicles. Apparently you can buy a 5.4L propane/gas powered engine. I know most of these vechicles are intended for fleet operations, but does anyone have any experience with propane powered engines. What is performance like compared to gas? Besides lower fuel costs what are the other benefits?

When propane cost me .50gal it was worth it to do a dual fuel conversion and i ran my trucks on it. it's very clean, never have to change oil (filter only). mileage and power about 75% that of gasoline (25% drop). now it's about .80gal and not really worth the difference. the state and EPA are pokeing their noses into it, and trying to get a piece of the action, making it a bigger hassle than it's worth.

Thanks for the info. I was really curious about the HP you get from a propane powered engine. I knew it was less than a gas powered engine, but didn't know by how much. 25% drop is a lot.
