Maybe they will throw Plax in the same cell with Vick.

Since when is a pistol and a rifle a cache of weapons? I guess they would call 3 guns an arsenal!

A small cache of weapons and ammunition, plus the pants and sneakers that Plaxico Burress wore when he accidentally shot himself last month, have been seized from the home of the New York Giants receiver, police said Wednesday.

A 9-mm handgun, a rifle and ammunition, including a clip for a .45 gun, were taken from Burress' home in Totowa, N.J., by authorities executing a search warrant Tuesday evening, police said.

Shouldn't be a problem---if they are registered---now, knowing Burress---if he can't re-up his car insurance---who knows if he can register his own fire arms!

I swear, these football players think they are above the law. 1st, Vick, and now Plaxico.

Wow i just saw a preview of E:60 with Plax and he was saying he has a wife who happens to be pregnant, and a little boy. Now one would wonder why the H3LL would you be going to a club, and having a unregistered gun!? WTF man your going to prison for 2 years, your baby girl which isn't born yet wont know her daddy until she is 2! Your wife wont have you there when she is born. WTF goes thru these peoples heads? I mean if I was a pro athlete i'm not sayin i wouldnt club it up every now and then, but i wouldnt if i had a prego wife, and son at home. I'd be at home as much as possible to spend time with them. It just goes to show how selfish people are and obviously Plax was only thinking of himself that night.

Just another reason why I don't think these guys should get paid anywhere near what they do. I think a salary cap at 100k/yr would be plenty. It's surely a hell of a lot more than any of these fellas could make doing anything else.

NCSU, I do agree with the fact that most of these players get paid an enormous amount of money, however 100K in my opinion is pretty low. I totally understand that this is a game, and there is no reason to make a 100 million, but these athletes work their butts off. From the start of training camp till the end of Dec, or if they're good, Feb. These guys maybe get one day off a week, and they usuall spend it watching film.

I think the problem lies more in he fact that the NFL allows these kids to drop out of college and enter the draft. Then they hold off all summer for outragous contracts for these 20-22 year old kids. Its almost not their fault, If I was 21 years old, and got 20 million dollar 5 year contract, I would be making alot of dumb mistakes too.

I think that there should be a salary cap for rookies, up to maybe like 3-4 years in the league, like 250,000 for the 1st year, half a mill for the second, and maybe double until the four year mark where they can make whatever the team the play for them wants to pay them, this system would ease these kids into all this money so it doesn't shock the heck out of them. Also, to enter the draft I think you should have to graduate. These colleges are giving people free tuition at some of the best colleges in the country and they blow it off, becasue of all the money the can make in the NFL. Take John Elway for example. He made decent money in his las few years with the Broncos, but he made his real money working in car dealerships after he retired, but he graduated from Stanford with a buisness degree.

I agree with you to a certain extent. I believe there should be a rookie cap. And yeah it does make since to make them go all 4 years at a college before they can enter the draft. I mean you give a kid a full ride just to play sports. It takes away from the education that say I could recieve for not playing sports. But like Crabtree, how selfish can you be? You havent proved anything in the NFL. You may never prove anything in the NFL, why should you make 20 million plus? I mean look at Ryan Leaf, #1 pick so he had a good college career but it doesnt always transfer to NFL success.

I believe Nolan Ryan said it: "Nobody's worht a million dollars a year...but I would be a fool to turn it down."

As long as the owners are willing to pay outragious sums of money, the athletes will force them to bow to them.
